I have no clue how this amazing video doesn’t have but 300 views, and I’ve gotta be about 50 of those not even joking. You are so amazing I can’t even handle it, by far my favorite KZbinr ever. My band director knows you by “that guy on KZbin” because of how often I ask him to play your songs with me on our smart board. I’m a freshman hornist going into my third year and play every song you put out repeatedly, driving everyone nuts because I do it every chance I get (including during band rehearsal). Please, I beg you, keep doing what your doing. Your music is an unknowing inspiration to many like me I’m sure.

Why did John Williams change the minute 11:11 from the original score? It was my favourite part!

We don't know exactly but most likely what happened is that for that little section Spielberg asked him to write something else, probably to convey a different feeling.. I also prefer the original version :)

i was thinking about this today. I think he pays homage to the first few notes and intervals of "Pure Imagination," the part that goes "Come with me," which is exactly what E.T. is saying to Elliot in that moment.
