I am back!
Hello,
My name is Charlotte and here is where I'm going to talk about my love of knitting, sewing, photography and general making of things! I'm from Washington state and love all things made by hand. In this episode I talk about some of the knitting projects I have in the works and down the line. I'm new to making videos of ANY kind so hopefully each upload will be better than the last!

I've really enjoyed your first two episodes and I can't wait to see where this channel goes in the future! I especially appreciate that you have all the pattern and yarn info on the screen while you talk about each item, it saves me from having to click off to find out what you're talking about!

Welcome aboard! Thanks! Yes I think I like the combination of mention the yarn type briefly and then having more detailed information on the screen. Just because yarn type is important but gauge is so dependent on other extenuating factors. Excited to keep going!!!

Loved the podcast. Your projects are beautiful! It definitely inspired me. I watch podcasts for the inspiration and to see places that I haven't been but also because I don't have any knitter friends near enough to meet up with so I watch podcasts while I'm knitting because it feels like I'm knitting with a friend. You're doing great!

It’s nice to see someone new on the knitting KZbin podcasts. A ton of the original people that I used to watch turned to designing and I’m not interested in seeing just their patterns. I like to see many different makes from knitters I watch. Glad I found your episode and its a nice touch how you include the yarn and all.

Just found you on KZbin. Love the colours you choose. You probably won't watch me as Im 70 but I do knit with the same exuberance as you. Just a point about yarn content. Possum yarn in NZ is not ethically sourced, if something you think is important. The possum fur is sourced from dead possums who have been either killed with poison baits or metal traps. I am a knitter and quilter and I make most of my own clothes. So I use a pattern for a dress about 10 times in different fabrics and colours. Anyway, best wishes
@everystitch.counts
@everystitch.counts Жыл бұрын
Oh my gosh I did not know that! I do care about that and had no idea. I’m not sure where the possum in this yarn was sourced from EXACTLY, so I can’t speak for it, but it’s good to keep an eye out for things like what you are talking about. Thanks for the word of knowledge!

Just came across this channel today, watching both your first and now this second video. I'm always so pleased to see young people pick up one of these most fulfilling hobbys under the sun like knitting, crochet, sewing and similar creative things. Obviously your mother has done a great job teaching you the basics about knitting for up to this day I did not know of anyone who was that successful with their very first projects. Your sweaters look so great on you and by the way - you and I share the love for the same colors. When you said that if there was one colour palette you could stick with for the rest of your life and showed this combo of three colors - I could not agree more. Anyway, I can assure you that you were already successful in being an inspiration. I totally like your way of talking and presenting yourself, I love your deep thoughts about what really matters in life and subscribed right away, looking forward to see you and your crafty projects develop. Greetings from an old lady fellow knitter from overseas in Germany.

Oh my goodness! I’m going back to watch your first episode now! This was so fun. You have a great voice for podcasting. Some people are really interesting, but their voices are really hard to listen to for any length of time. Not their fault, obviously, but it makes it hard for the person listening/watching. You have a good combo of Content and a nice voice. 😉 I definitely think your vertical slides to the right look better than the horizontal ones. The horizontal ones kind of block you a good bit and it’s a little jarring. But excited to see what style you develop over your next episodes. The projects you have planned are just really neat and inspiring and yeah. Yay for the algorithm that popped you up in my feed.🤣 Cheers and good luck! 🧶💚🤓 Oh, and the chef’s kiss and the outfit imaginings… 😘 **chef’s kiss** 😆

Never be afraid of experimenting with your own creative impulses. I’ve “winged” several things simply because I’ve found a stitch pattern that intrigued me and they’ve turned out to be some of my favorite makes. You have enough experience to know what fits you stitch count wise, length wise, etc., so go ahead and experiment. I’ll love seeing the results. Also, the Telvinen sweater is so fabulous, I can’t wait to see your version of it.😊

You have such a wonderful sense for color! When you showed the Black Cat sweater that you started, it was so gorgeous that I paused the video and went to Ravelry to check it out. If I had seen the pattern there first, I would not have been so enthused as your colors were so much more to my taste than the ones there (they were pretty, but yours were knockout!) Keep up the videos, you’re doing great! Incidentally, the iPhone video and sound is perfectly fine!

Hopefully we get to just see your knitting and enthusiasm for designs in the future. we can't wait to see who you are and what you do. You don't need to express out loud all the ideas or machinations of creating yr own podcast. Thousands of us just DO it and we don't feel the need to express every little detail. I'm pretty sure you've watched enough podcasts to know what ppl do with text boxes etc etc. we dont need to know how you think you might go about every gritty detail. That's personal to you. .just do it.
