You and I are the same when it comes to accuracy. I share your frustrations with “experts”. Today, I was researching a WW2 M1916 for a friend. I watched your video. You are spot on and your presentation style is humble and informative. I look forward to watching more videos. You remind me of Norwich93CMP - just the facts without the fluff.

The 1911 style gun has many copies. Holsters too. Thanks for your review.

I know this is a year later, but I hope you haven’t used furniture preserver on those. Lot of conditioners have polymer compounds and the like that will actually damage the leather over time. My personal go-to has always been huberds shoe oil or ballistol, for any of my older leather militaria. Haven’t had any issues with coloration alteration or physical damage over the years.

-To add because I don’t want to seem like I’m just here to nit-pick- thank you for the video, I enjoyed it greatly. Some nice pieces you have there! And I certainly relate to enjoying pieces that have seen usage. The unissued components are great as reference examples and such, but there’s something about holding pieces of physical history that is simply different.
