I have seen some reports that the number of victims in Gaza is actually higher. Does 40k include hunger and pre-mature deaths? The actual number is very important to bring awareness.

American voters elect for war: Pres. Truman The Korean War (1950-1953); Pres. Lyndon B. Johnson & Richard Nixon The Vietnam Era (1955-1975); George H. W. Bush The Gulf War (1990-1991). It's an endless list.

For me, the hardest thing about leftist/progressive politics is how heady it is. As though humanist liberal morals and ethics can somehow engineer away the human shadow. A good thought experiment I like to pose on issues like sovereignty, immigration etc, is imagine you were talking to an First Nations person from Australia or North America. Consider the kind of sensitivity -- and with what emphasis on self determination -- you might employ. Obviously First Nations people have endured a particular kind of disempowerment and genocide. But in the words of thinkers like Yanis (and I agree) it wasn't that long ago that Europeans endured similar (think Enclosure, Transportation etc) and in some ways still do. The issue is in secular historical materialism itself. The importance of things like ritual, ceremony, spirituality, and even culure and language get minimised. Meaning that from this point of view, "if only people could realise they're all one they could band together and overthrow their material exploiters together" becomes the deeply out of touch refrane of the progressive. There's of course some truth to this, but on a lived experience level, it profoundly minimises the deep togetherness that can ONLY come from connective tissue forged in ceremony and dare I say spiritual practice. I personally bristle at including the word "religion" here as it is not a synonym for spirituality, though for me it is undeniable that for most Europeans, their very sense of culture is wrapped up in religion, even if they are not personally pious or even a believer. This means on some deep level, someone of a different region cannot easily share in that richness. They can only ever hope to be fellow citizens of a hollowed out secular country whose sense of sovereignty doesn't expand to such realms. The secular part of either farcical (like in in the United states), or just depressing and damaging for people in the most literal sense of the words. The irony of course is that this very hollowing makes people in my view all the more susceptible to capitalism and individualism that progressives try to fight against. In some ways I do believe we need to go beyond the fusion of "state" and "sovereignty". I consider the latter (in a holistic sense) essential to the human spirit, the former is merely a version of it, and a hierarchical, exploitative one at that in more or less all versions that have existed. Critical here is time. People of different backgrounds need time and space to get to know one another. And there needs to be formal ceremonies and rituals for creating relationships and cohesion. I challenge anyone to find an Indigenous culture anywhere in the world that didn't place great importance on this. The great conferederations of tribes on North America that kept peace peace for centuries took tremendous care with the process of arriving at decisions, and you would presume this includes decisions around new members. The human shadow was considered something to always work with, not deny. In our current world we're expected to take our piddling little representative democracy votes and call this empowerment, sovereignty even!!!! Most progressives, unfortunately, are too afraid of their shadow...

A solution might be a confederal one: an example, althoug it doesn't work perfectly, is Bosnia and Herzegovina. Israelis and palestinians have to understand each others, recognize each others, and live together in peace.

Well done brothers and sisters! My brief comment is to caution against using the introductory words used each time; “This is a RADICAL (emphasized) movement in which SUBVERSIVE ideas are heard that are heard nowhere else. Whether this is objectively true or not or can be proven is uncertain. But its certain that these are epithets of disdain for most people and preclude you being heard by the very EXPANDED audience you seek. I dont think youre a radical nor subversive. If it applied in any way I wouldnt say it because to most people these are terms for all manner of extremists that Do Not include you.. in the imagination of the masses they simply hear “Dont watch this”. It greatly undermines your own cause. The first words should draw in ALL members of the public and give them a chance to hear and join you. It really sounds like something written by someone trying to undermine your party and movement. If the evil establishment wants to call you radical it is to expected and it is to put a warning label on you. It may be a pleasant joke among members to self identify thus, but to the public it represents ideas and behaviors that are far more extreme than you are. This is vital! After a year or more of this introduction youve brought in perhaps all those who identify with these terms. Lovely, all are needed. Please alter the intro and appeal to everyone else and let them hear how rational and balanced you actually can be. By way of introduction, I am among other things the most direct heir to the Roman and Byzantine leadership. I am thus naturally very concerned about the future of not only europe but all my human brothers and sisters. Check my personal page for posts that reveal the Paris Paradigm or true world history uncovered as the real solution to all current world problems (via understanding the real precise causes…not easy and nowhere else seen and expounded.. but learning is a slow process). I write to a mass audience which includes my fellow humans. I have no more avid readers than the heretofore enemies of humanity and it is ironic that they find out what my human brothers most desperately need to know but do not. For their perspective and purpose is heretofore still quite different and very harmful. I hope we will meet soon! Please accept my comments as well intentioned.

How one can invoke the principle of resistance into the heinous terror act Hamas perpetrated on innocent civilian Israeli people on Oct. 7th is beyond me. How one can invoke genocide into actions of IDF after this terror attack and at the same time conveniently (dis)miss the clear genocidal intent of perpetrators of the terror attack itself (clearly approved of and cheered on by most of Palestinian population of Gaza) is again beyond me. How many Israelis would have been murdered on Oct 7th had Hamas had the numbers and arms count of say Hezbollah?

There was a modern dance group in Gaza. They were sad that Palestinian land was split into. So they did a performance in Gaza about Palestinian liberation. But you see, they needed to do it in secret by invitation only. They were afraid of the government in Gaza, not Israel's government but Hamas. If Gaza is an open prison, Hamas and Israel are prisons management.

Thinking this started on 10/7 is same as thinking ww2 started during Warsaw ghetto uprising or Vietnam on tet offensive. Its same scenario. No different than Ukraine kursk incursions to secure russian soldiers to exchange for Ukraine POW which we and i celebrated.

#GlobalRequestToIsrael To the brilliant, innovative, and modern people of Israel-unlike the violent forces of Hamas, Hezbollah, and Houthis-you are a small but powerful community that the world needs. Consider relocation to thriving lands like the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia, where your intelligence and talent can flourish without the cost of war. Pushing the whole world and global economy, trade, environment, and international relations to the edge for the sake of a small piece of land is not worth it. Choose peace, and let’s build a better future together.
