John, I love that you are a active member in the drum community. You could just be rubbing elbows with the big boys of the drumming world, but you are on Drum Forum, you respond to comments on KZbin. That is awesome and very humble of you! I'd love to run into you sometime and just listen. Listen about your experience at Zildjian, your relationship with big name players. By the way, I am a huge Zildjian guy. I know it's silly, but I love the history of the company. I play all old 40s and 50s As. I do have 2 early 60s rides as well, but mostly 40s and 50s. I also think you could've helped Z a lot if they listened to you about thinning down the A series earlier than they did. Drum on Brother ❤️🥁❤️🥁❤️🥁❤️

Hey John: Where did that box of 1940s cymbals come from? The Zildjian factory? Stored away all these years?

Yes. They were locked in a metal cabinet in the factory for years. We discovered the cabinet when we did a relayout of the factory in 1995.
