Thanks. The camera didn't pick up the true color... On camera whether vid or pic.. it looks aqua but in person its actually more mint green like the roll cage on my Javelin. Still pretty cool looking.

Huge improvement, I don’t think I’ve ever seen front wheels and tires that small on a 1/10 buggy. I always figured that’s the way you guys got the live action shots , but to actually see Ari chasing the buggy around was pretty funny. Cool video guys.

My first hobby grade car was a Cox Bandito, which is the same basic car (red tub). The Cox Ultra Stock is also based on it. Even back when they were new, the ball cup mounted suspension was a problem. When I restored my car, I was able to find a complete new set of balls and cups. The plastic dog bones tend to wear fast but 3D printed ones are available on ebay.

I had a Pegasus, and it was a really good car. The rear friction shocks were crap (fixed with oil filled shocks from an Icarus). I won 2 local races with one, beating many RC10's. It actually handled really well despite how cheap it was made. Ball bearings were a must (like any car). FYI a wire-tie can fix the front ball joints from popping out.

End result looks nice, could perhaps use some front suspension from the Cosmo though along with oil shocks all around.

It could but then it wouldn’t qualify for our crappy buggy race class where the cars we use have to remain stock. Maybe later down the line he’ll upgrade it. Thanks for the comment and your support.

Your video has great timing, as I just bought an Icarus. I had an Icarus as a kid (wanted it mostly because it had the hopped-up lemans motor) and the thing never worked right. For whatever reason the MSC would get so hot it would desolder itself, so I never really got to really drive it. So hopefully I have better luck with this new one using an ESC hah.

I believe this one might have actually started life as an Icarus, or was built from a mix of Icarus and Pegasus parts. The Pegasus tub and arms are grey, black on the Icarus. Now that it also has Cosmo parts too, I'm calling it the Icapegsmo. 😂 It went around the track quite nicely, even though Harry's balls popped out a few times 🤣

I say that but apart from the bouncy suspension it looked quite agile going around those corners! Maybe it's down to those skinny front tyres? Yeah its a little bit of an odd ball but definitely unique! I have been after one for what seems ages! Your mate done a nice job on that l must say too love the chrome wheels👍

I had and still have the cox bandito version. it came with a (really bad) 12v cig power charger batt and controller and half built. Was there ever a conversion for the plastic bendy type front arms. I got it at toys r us in paramus. awesome vid

Haven’t seen or heard one of these in decades. It was always an ugly and cheap buggy. Even as an 11 year old had no desire whatsoever for these. My dad bought me a grasshopper with 7.2v hump pack and Airtronics stick radio and that’s where it all began for me.

I don't know my mistaken wasn't the original body ABS plastic you could have totally removed all that paint off of it you also could have just taken polycarbonate paint if it wasn't to remove all that paint if the body wasn't that badly damaged.

I owned the Pegasus in the 80s and it was a very fragile car. The front and ball joints were just not sturdy and couldn’t take much abuse.
