Really enjoying this interview, Derwood, Andy and Ben! Sweet birds of youth! Nice to hear the back story of those Gen X dags! And, I love how those original punks days are still important today! ✨️⛧️✨️

Spot on about Lydon, he still gets up people’s noses, is fairly uncompromising and is still honest to himself, So many others just suck up to expectations. Ditto Morrissey. Great artists, singers , guitar players are never forgotten and I’d put Derwood in that bracket somewhere for his work, Generation X might not fill him with joyful memories but they do for lots of us! Really enjoyed this.

Good interview. I like the bit where Andy grimaces when Derwood states that Lydon is still the one saying it like it is from that generation.

I met the band Westworld when they were first starting. Had no idea I'd met Derwood till years later!

Great podcast Andy. I have often wondered about Derwood, and how he ended up in the USA etc. So... it was due to the Westworld band and his relationship with the singer who was American. Now I know! He didn't explicitly say it but I guess he is a citizen now? Would have been nice to hear his thoughts on his life there compared to UK and if he would ever go back. He lives in LA and likes John Lydon, but didn't mention if they were pals or ever met up. Also Steve Jones. I heard he is into all the slide guitar country style music now, seems a far cry from his Gen X days. That was funny what he said about Generation Sex. Good or bad? ...umm Ugly. haha. I always admired his guitar playing in Gen X it was fantastic. Back in the day I had a leather motorcycle jacket (part of the uniform right), and they just released their first album. I had the Electric Shock effect "Generation - X" on the back of my jacket. :)

I stopped drinking around 3 months before the pandemic, reckon it proved to be a fortunate decision!

Maybe Derwood forgot that Westworld used to support Gary Glitter when he apologised for mentioning him? Haha Great interview, great to hear you’re still doing what you do. Tony is an odd fella.

Great to hear Derwood better than Jobson who just did one of his mighty than thou talks, however would prefer the conversation to have just been Andy + Derwood, don't see the point in the other guy piping up

Shit, we forgot to run plans by your mightier than thou brain first. Ben & Richard have been summarily executed. Thanks for the heads up.
