One of the most exciting parts of this is the Flyers are in a position to give the kid the complete featured offensive role he deserves. I really believe Torts sees it this way, too. When this season is in the books, we should be looking at Michkov leading all the forwards in total PP TOI. Also with the status of the Flyers PP, we should see this first PP unit completely revolving around Michkov's position. I'm trying to keep my expectations in check because I'm definitely super excited, but I really think Michkov is going to score 30 powerplay points this season with his total points flirting with an 80 spot.

Agree with you, Yariv, I want to see him in the Kovalchuk position up by the point, giving him the most possible ice to walk in and create or rip a shot.

If Connelly somehow slips to 32, the Flyers have take him. I’ve looked into his character concerns as much as I could and I definitely think it’s completely overblown. He also left that bad taste in Game mouths with that major penalty to cost the USA team. He could be the steal of the draft.

I would not take one situation (isolated incident). There are people interested in drafting him, and talking to his coaches over the last several years to see if the negative talk that surrounds him to make sure that this is not a pattern.

@@robertkirchner8857 True. The big thing was the Snapchat photo. But it’s not like Danny B wouldn’t be used to a teenager doing something stupid(wheelchair incident). I’m sure he can understand something like what Connelly did, especially considering it was made in jest and he didn’t even make the “symbol”. He simply took a picture of it and shared it. I’ve heard that the team mate he shared it with was the one who made it but the big rumor I’ve also heard is that his teammate was of Jewish decent. Either way, they are friends and I’m sure there’s not a single person out there that hasn’t shared an off taste joke with their friends as a teenager. Also, I personally believe in second chances. I hate to see young kids get “cancelled” for being an idiot. Kids are idiots. It doesn’t mean they can’t learn and grow from it or that they are a bad person. I’ve also seen that he has done nothing but try to correct his image and work off-ice with underprivileged youth, teaching hockey, I believe. I’d say, it looks like he is trying to, at least, make an honest effort. Also, the way he responded to the dumb major penalty was to ball his eyes out and apologize to all of his teammates on the locker room. I don’t know for sure but I would give the kid a chance. He’s a truly special talent.
