The cardboard color code card fell apart instantly on me and was basically useless since it was faded and I'm partially colorblind. I used a sharpie and numbered/ dashed all wires/ connectors from left to right, bottom row first. Wrote the corresponding numbers on the blades of the new retrofit board. Each row of connectors was then taped together and labeled in numbered order with half width electric tape. Before disconnecting each row, pictures were taken to verify wire color and pin location. The old terminals did not come out easy. I figured out a process for removing them worked great with little effort. I broke off the springy tabs that hold the fuse ends with linesman pliers. Used a small flat blade screwdriver and wedged it between the plastic and the leftover U (or L) shaped part of the terminal that protrudes through the back. Used the screw driver to split them down the middle and bend the leftover tabs up. Broke off the excess sticking up, then the blades were easily pulled out through the bottom. This way you don't have to force the "teeth" on the spade part of the terminal up through the plastic. Found a toasted 12v feed and auxiliary fan wire, repaired that while in there. Now my AC doesn't melt fuses on hot days and my sunroof finally works. Thank you!

We'd love to do one, but we don't have an E21 handy. Sorry!
