Okay, here's how I can explain the whole "Balance of the Triforce" thing. He wasn't saying that a female Link would throw off the balance of the Triforce. He was saying that Zelda as a playable character would. My explanation for this is that Zelda has the Triforce of Wisdom, and the hero has to have the Triforce of Courage for the story to make sense. Zelda and her "associates" (Impa, Midna, Fi) often give Link advice, such as with Tetra at the start of Wind Waker. She plays a supporting role because of her piece of the Triforce, for the same reason that Ganon is the antagonist because of his.

Gray Fox Just keeping the series lore intact. Zelda has had the Triforce of Wisdom since all the way back in Skyward Sword, and as established in that game all of the games afterward in the timeline are echoes of that game - Ganon continues to come back as the reincarnation of Demise's anger, etc. Sorry this isn't explained as well. As much as Zelda games change, they do want to keep certain pieces of the lore intact.

LttP was the first Zelda I beat. game is really good. Fairly directed but not overbearing. I'm more curious to see why Boss man doesn't like it

EmrlsCommunity I believe 'A Link to the Past' was the last Zelda game I played. I didn't play games until my uncle got a N64 for us on Christmas, so the first Zelda I played was 'Ocarina of Time' and I didn't play the older ones until the collection released on Gamecube with the first and second game. Over the years I've played just about every Zelda game but never had the opportunity to play 'A Link to the Past' until Nintendo finally released it on Wii U! I was hyped, I bought it day one on eShop, all the rumors of it being the best Zelda ever and I finally get to play it! Sadly, I didn't find the game as amazing as the majority, I think all the hype over the years distorted my perception. I had also just played 'A Link Between Worlds' so that probably affected my opinion.
