Mine was very noisey so I took it out from fear of it exploding… my car sounds awesome now. Hoping I survive the start of Australian summer while I wait for my cooling overhaul electric fan stuff to arrive. Thanks for documenting and for your insight

I used a real temp sensor in the head instead of the dummy gauge. Rarely got over 100c in the Louisiana summer heat. You should be fine. If everything else holds up.

I do recommend to use a waterpump with a plastic impeller with good bearings, because the extra weight of the metal impeller can wear out the bearings fast and you can have a potential scenario that the impeller eats in your head

How is your setup running. Any issues with over heating.?

my e36 fan exploded and i'm debating leaving the fan off and replacing everything else as you did in this video did you happen to run into any cooling issues since?

Biggest cooling issue was just bleeding the system after. Which is a pain in the ass in itself regardless of efan or clutch fan. Summer is coming so if I do run into issues my plan is to remove the existing aux fan and run a two stage puller fan fan and just use the existing aux fan wiring and relay system to power it as opposed I wiring a stand alone set up as I see others doing.

Let me know if you think the car will overheat with no clutch fan?? Also that weird airbox sensor is apparently a thermostat switch that allows coolant to flow through the throttle body in low temperatures. so that is now gone. RIP in peace.

Did you ever run into any issues?!?

No issues! But I must tell you my AC doesn’t work so I’m not sure how it would perform on a hot day in traffic with the AC working. I still have all the condenser and AC equipment on the car but I just roll the windows down. I would try to get it sealed up and test it but it’s not my daily so I don’t mind riding with the windows down.
