E36 M3 Oil Change

My dude. Did a liqui Moly oil change with 10w40 kit a few months ago. Great stuff. Engine runs so much smoother.

I 💯 agree. I have both an E46 and E36 M3. I love driving the E36 M3 way more. The E46 is cool, but just something about that E36 chassis. My E36 is not modified but I plan to get a Stromung Exhaust soon. Its one of the minor mods im feeling.

Try chevron Techron full system cleaner instead of sea foam. Gum out and chevron use P.E.A. while others don’t. The formula works very well and actually uses the 10% in ethanol in the pump to combat carbon build up.

For anyone who doesn't care about opinions and prefers facts, don't use a 60 weight in your s52, even if it's a tired old sloppy toleranced motor

E36 M3 come in two different sizes, which impacts the oil capacity you should at lest mention what year your car is.

It’s s52. I can tell easily by looking because the oil cap is in a different location between the 2 engines. I own a s50 (‘95 only)

@@e36.m345 yes its a s52!! i just read alot of threads and not that much people talk about 10w60 but for people who do talk about it says good things. so i just wanted to know. im very new to the e36 m3 world and theres tons of oil people use so idk which one is a good one!

You should at least mention how many quarts you put in and show the type of filter model you used. At lest you showed the oil type. I also heard engine knock on yours, which I don't hear on mine.

Thats just personal and experience, when i changed to LiquiMoly 10W-60 my M3 resulted in better idle, oil temp even with aggressive driving, No lifter tick. It just drives smooth.
