Many of you have been waiting for some E36 content for a while and this car will be coming together in time, but it's nice not to rush it. The paint looks pretty good on camera but it needs a good polishing and maybe even some sanding to get it perfect.

I watch all the content. I have purchased a decent amount of stuff from the website, and going forward if I need it, and your site sells it I will buy it there. I’m not much of a “fanboy” type but at this point I can say I’m a fan. I will eventually borrow the house because I live in Charlotte NC and can drive my M6 down with the family. I would also love to meet and talk with Matt in a social or semi professional setting for a few hours. But paying to live with a stranger I’d never met before for a week feels like it would be awkward and weird for both of us, much less my family who have zero idea who Matt is. But that’s just me, I’m sure someone will absolutely pay to hang out with ya.

I agree with you, if you take away the fact it’s Matt, if you were renting any property and the owner was there too, I’d probably expect a discount? As realistically you won’t get the master, the general awkwardness of sharing a house with someone you barely know and all the rest. I’d be happy with it at regular or discounted price but an extra $4-5K seems wild to me.

On the topic of the Destination OG Helen house, I think so many people are going to rent it to just experience all the different OG Master collections (full garage build, cabinets, tools, lights, audio, closets, the whole deal) let alone the vacation in the mountains. Matt’s been around all the master collections for so long it might seem normal to him. Just to see what someone’s house could be would be worth it to many people I’d think.

Seems like a having you there at the house will be conducive for a handful of friends to come down and chill with you. Have you thought of customizing the week with you there? Obviously driving, detailing day, food day with outdoor kitchen etc. But now you are a concierge.

Matt, since you asked us … #1. I don’t like BMW’s. They suck imo. #2. I don’t like big or fancy houses. Too much to care for. #3. I don’t, typically, like people … in general. With that being said, I do like “stuff” … both junk and super nice. I don’t care about giveaways, raffles, whatever. I do care about getting things that serve me for my life. Whatever that is, whatever the cost. I’ll be honest, I’m not really interested in renting a vacation house, with or without you there. If I wanted to meet you, I’m sure I could find a way to Florida and do that fairly easy … not like you’re hiding. However, I’m a 50 year old set-in-my-ways mfker. I don’t like bullshitting and I don’t like bullshitters. It’s the primary reason I watch this channel … like minds and all that. No, I’m not rich or wealthy or even well off. I’m comfortable and that’s really all I need or care about. If others have more money or nicer things or whatever, hey that’s awesome! I’m good, though. I have PTSD combined with OCD and panic disorder … yeah, I got smacked with the crazy stick a few times. Is what it is, but it kind of helps to explain my perspective. For ME, a rental house (with or without Matt) holds no value. But that’s ONLY me, because I could care less. But I know for SURE you have fans and/or subscribers who hold different values than me and would certainly entertain that scenario. Personally, I think it WILL be a huge success. I wish you well on that endeavor, I really do. That’s pretty much it, my grumpy ass old mfker perspective. Take it or leave it. 😬😬😬

I think your definitely on to something with the idea of having house available to rent with you there, i would love to do that. Another idea is to open it up to having say 5 spots available where 5 like minded people (most likely strangers) can get together and have a great experience and build new relationships.

I personally can’t wait to borrow this house. I truly hope your trust in humanity strategy works out, but personal experience with rental properties makes me concerned. I’m very curious how the vetting process impacts unforeseen costs. For short term rentals, in my experience, one of the larger issues is identifying concealed damage.

I absolutely think that would be worth more. I also think you could make quite a bit of money having classes online and in person. You and Mike could teach how to do Prevost airlines or the custom install, you could teach just on fittings, the lift. The videos that exist are awesome so don’t take that as a knock I just think the dynamic you two have plus the skills could absolutely translate. You could teach classes just like Rupes and Gloss University. The last class I took was 2 grand so I think you guys could kill it plus it would be a lot of fun. I can polish paint with the best of them but when it comes to handy man type stuff I’m lost lol. I’d love to learn from the two of the best that’s for sure. My god that car looks good... Love the Techno Violet with the amber turn signals and the black kidneys! I've always been a sucker for the E36, ever since I was a child as my parents used to have one. At least there are some good tax benefits from a rental property... although as a "small" business your main challenge is likely cash flow which is why I am sure you want it to carry itself... at least long term. "Losses" from a tax perspective are great, but if you don't have the cash flow to pay for inventory/ payroll the walls start closing in fast.

OG drying aid can’t even come close to offering what BM does. It’s a better drying aid, no argument there … but calling BM “inferior” to OG drying aid is just nonsense. 😊😊😊

@@timkinley1779 OG drying aid plays well with most products. It’s simple, effective and does what it claims. Does it replace a true sealant? Hell no, not even close. The protection (if any) is minimal at best. @James Chunn Calling OG drying aid a sealant is also nonsense. If it’s a sealant, it doesn’t do shit. Not to mention that it only lasts a day, maybe 2. I compare a million dollar house to million dollar house ! the houses in the south of france have superb swimming pools,garden ect... but the interior are not extraordinary.... they are expensive because they are in well-known places like monaco, nice, cannes, saint tropez the rental agency takes a good percentage of the price ! I live in France !
