E39 M5 DIY How To Guide - Custom Braided Clutch Hydraulic Hose - Covid 19 Special

Welcome along to another Covid-19 Lockdown special!
Today we'll be replacing the old clutch hydaulic system with a stainless steel braided hose.
This is often overlooked and forgotten about. The process is the same on all E39's so if you don't have an M5 and want to do this, it's very easy. The only difference on other E39's is the clutch hose as a CDV (Clutch Delay Valve) which restricts the return flow of fluid from the slave cylinder when releasing the clutch. This isn't fitted on the M5, and is a great upgrade to remove it from normal E39's too.
It's an easy job, a bit time consuming and fiddley, but straight forward and easy to do.
As requested by a few people already, below is the parts list and manufacturer:

1x M10x1.0 Male Swivel Nut 90 Degree Bend
1x BMW/EVO/Audi Clutch Hose Fitting
1x 1100mm Braided Brake Hose (Colour can be chosen)
Total cost - £35 delivered within the UK.

Moving the carpet out of the way wasn't too dire for me. I just removed the kick panel which has two push pins, pulled the door seal out of the way, unscrewed the hood release handle and a plastic rivet, then carefully pulled the pedal out. Once I did that and unscrewed the clutch pedal stop, I was able to move the carpet. It's not too bad.

Has anyone had a problem with this line leaking at the slave cylinder? I installed it on my 540i and it leaks. The company said it's probably leaking because it's not an m5.

Dif it make a big difference in pedalfeel? Did you have a upgraded clutch on ur car? :)

Pedal felt crisper and more progressive instead of feeling a bit woolly.

This hose is now possible to order on ebay, both LHD and RHD specs :) i did order one last week, hopefully its solves my woolly pedalfeel.
