Are the pins on the e39 abs orientated in the same way as the e60 maybe they are in a different order ? Did u check diagrams before repinning? Love the project btw

hi, the numbers on the housings have the same layout. When I converted to the E60 abs I had to change the abs module connector and add in all new wires. The only original wiring I used was to the wheel speed sensors as it saved so much time putting new wires in to the back of the car etc. I have a wiring diagram marked up with all the pinouts from my E60 donor harness which I have checked my adapted wiring too. I'm pretty sure my fix will be as I said at the end of the video regarding the hubs. I know the sensors are reading by doing the drill and Alan key test, just that the sensor gap isn't correct at the moment. thanks I'm hoping to get better at using the camera and editing the more videos I do

Why do this swap in the first place? 🙈

Rod Knockers because the e39 M5 is perfect as it is, and is becoming a classic. This kind of build does not really make the car any better but will drop its value. If you REALLY want more power, go for a less invasive compressor kit instead.

A stock E39 m5 doesn't interest me tbh I've had something similar with having a supercharged 540i and fancied something different. I don't like the look of the e60 but the engine I like even if it is unreliable! I brought this M5 with no engine or running gear before it went to scrap, so technically I saved it.
