Thats a great idea. The fish already eaten and given away, but I'll talk Tan into doing a 'Thai cooking onboard' episode :)

It looks like I've found my self another actual sailing channel. Few and far between. Mostly drama and bikini channels out there. Best regards from Jarle. (Stem to stern sailing) Norway

Slow down when you catch a fish.

Wow you didn't even try to reel that fish in. Why didn't you slow the boat down and start reeling it in... earlier? SLOW THE BOAT DOWN!!!! YOU ARE CREATING MORE DRAG . THE FISH HAS DROWNED..

Been fishing for quite a few years off the boat and hardly ever lost a fish, but as we sailed through Arnhem Land I decided to make life easier for myself and slow down as I hooked up. Well, I lost 8 fish straight away because without maintaining boat speed, they shook the lures. Next day, I kept speed up and no more lost fish. Thanks for the advice though.

@@sailingwithstarlight the tension comes from You on the rod,not really from the boat speed apart from the initial hookup. It looks so awkward having to reel in from The side of the boat. Any alternatives to get a better position and more control?
