Yes. I sometimes layer them too. lol Lotion and then cream over it. It all depends on your preference.

Tried the cream it causes acne on acne prone skin because of the oil all back to the lotion I use the cream on just my body because E45 tones the skin

E45 lotion shouldn't darken your skin at all. It's actually designed to moisturize and soothe dry, sensitive skin.If you use E45 during the day and spending time outdoors your skin might be tanning or getting hyperpigmentation from the sun, not the lotion itself. Sun protection is crucial!

I thought I was the only one who noticed this. It smoothes the skin but I used to get dark. That's why I stopped it and this was 6-7years ago. Thinking of trying it again since now I use sunscreen religiously. Hope I won't be disappointed again.

It's not the best option for oily skin because it contains isopropyl palmitate which is comedogenic.
