E49 - Roz’s Moto Adventure Ride Australia - Emerald Creek, Danbulla NP, Kauri Creek Rd, Lake Tinaroo

Episode 49 takes me up to day 126 of my year long adventure ride around Australia! After leaving Walkamin, I headed North again to start the Tinaroo Creek Road from Mareeba. A side detour to Emerald Creek and I was back on my way. OMG this trail did not disappoint and is up there with one of the most stunning trails I’ve ridden so far! Tinaroo Creek Road trail high up in the Danbulla NP mountains came up to a T junction. I chose to go right into Kauri Creek Road trail which weaved its way up and down again through the mountains bringing me out into the north side of Lake Tinaroo. It’s was a STUNNING ride! A lap of Lake Tinaroo took me to the south side to a camp called Fong-On Bay where very few people camped on that side of the lake. Heaven! What a fantastic days ride!

Hi Roz great video, I've actually watched it twice.Take your time in this area theres so many beautiful spots to see up there.I can recommend the Misty Mountain trail from Ravenshoe to Palmerston national park.The road from Mount Garnett to Cardwell is great, and dont forget the twin crater lakes Eacham and Barine and the Waterfall circuit around Millaa Millaa.And more clinkers .Hope you dont mind me making suggestions .Your channel,Your ride.This is the area i grew up in and love it heaps.Take care.

Been thinking about your ignition problem, hopefully you and Lili have cured it but I don't think you've been back on much Corro since. IF it happens again it might pay to remove the other keys from the key ring. It could be that the weight of them rattling about is causing the barrel to wiggle. Just a thought. 😀 Hopefully it's sorted now. I enjoyed one crazy bird checking out the other. 😁

Hahaha yep...that bird was crazy! 😂 You couldn’t hear it on the vid but his growl was rather menacing! 😳😂 Yep...ignition fixed! There’s no weight on the key...only 1 other little key for my disc alarm. The contact cleaner seems to have done the job. Must’ve been heaps of dirt & dust build up in it that caused a dodgy contact. Yeeee haaaaa! 😁👍🤸🏻‍♀️

A comment often made by riders is to carry your Garmin Inreach device on your body rather than on the bike. If you come off and can’t get back to the bike you can’t activate it.

Yep....100% and that’s what I do when I’m doing gnarly remote stuff. Easy stuff, I don’t worry about. Though I did forget at times on the OTT to do exactly that! 🙄 Was a tad excited and in the moment! 🤞😂
