WHAT A RELIEF 🥵 Wet Season Far North QLD | Yungaburra | Lake Tinaroo

Hey KZbin friends!
This week we continue exploring the Cairns region and first stop is Goomboora Park for a skate and a swim, we finally get Juice onto the skateboard for a ride and find a freshwater creek to stop for a swim. We give our tips on cheeking mango, with all our fresh fruit and veg. A nice drive up the Gilles range lands us in yungaburra for a few nights at a dog friendly park next to Lake Tinaroo to explore the Atherton Tablelands area. Some unmarked walks leads us on a platypus hunt but we are unlucky. A couple of awesome swimming spots is up next, Lake Eacham and Malanda Falls where chelsea is nervous about the local crocodiles. Malanda falls is ice cold and a refreshing stop.

When we were in Yungaburra we saw several platypus at the viewing platform but even more where we camped at Bonadio RV & Nature Park just out of town. It was amazing!! Loved your vid, we enjoyed the area very much especially the lakes in the area and the giant fig tree. Keep safe you two!!

This is a bit far from where you are guys, but there's a lovely little town called Imbil, (inland from Gympie Queensland) that has a beautiful caravan park in the heart of town. There is a creek running through that you can swim and kayak along, with resident platypus at the more secluded part of the creek. Also dog friendly. Best vanilla slices ever at the local bakery (according to hubby).

I’m thinking that may be the case. The water in your vid looked pretty brown from all the recent rain. We saw one at the hide near the road. Two swimming under the bridge and 2 frolicking near the bank on the river. It was soooooo awesome.
