Hi, nice video, thanks. Question: so although you have to take a lot more stuff off, it IS possible to swap the turbo/exhaust manifold without jacking the car up, right? I'm only able to do it top down. Cheers.

Exhaust manifold you can yes, but turbo you could by removing the air con pump but that's extra work and i'm not so sure the turbo will fit trying to take out from the top don't think there is enough room.

So for turbo i still need loosen these 3 bolts from tope where holes are under air filter? Steering rack I can move a side?

yes, don't need to move steering rack.

Great video I have an issue underneath that air filter/ manifold area were I have oil dropping down onto the turbo and odd drops on the top of that aluminium boost pipe and a loud whooshing noise on turbo build up this all started with a big cloud of brown oil smoke that came out the bonnet but nothing since so obviosly something has burst or ruptured. Is there any oil feed pipes or anything under there im stuck 😥.

Possibly a crack in the crank case pipe ? its like ventilation for the breather and runs all the way to the connection just under the maf that also connects to the turbo. Whooshing noise sounds like boost pipe split. Only other pipes are the turbo feed and drain pipes.

don't disagree that's it's a waste of time unfortunately my turbo needs replacing/repairs and the rocker cover has been leaking for awhile so I to do the whole butch at the same time. altho it's only cost 120quid for genuine turbo oil feed pipe ,rocker cover gasket , injectors seals and turbo to manifold gasket
