Kenneth is right Jonathan, momentum is your friend. 10 to 15 kph through that little creek and you wouldn't have even noticed it. Practice for 15 minutes where you camp every night with your bike unloaded and get your confidence up.

I totally agree with you on your campsite logic. In the rural area where I live in Tennessee of the USA, most everyone will let you camp for the night, as long as you “take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but footprints”. Great ride on the TET. Ride safe Kenneth!

Right??! 😅 makes no sense to me to have it banned. Even on private property. In Norway it doesn’t matter if someone owns the land. You just have to be 140 meters from someone’s house. Unless you are harming something they can’t kick you off just because you are camping for a night. Given that you do those things I said of course…

Good one. They record your registration when uou enter Portugal, and link it to a credit card so that on toll roads without barriers they can deduct fees automatically against your credit card when the overhead cameras record you passing. Ifvyou take the small ferry from Ayamonte into Portugal you can avoid this. But the bridge is spectacular. Agree about electronics. Too many bikes too complex now. All very clever but I refuse to wait 5 minutes for ny mate in the mornings while he adjusts all his settings. It's a right faff. We agree about camping. Leave only footprints and what's the problem? Good watch. Happy travels 👍

Interesting the slightly different architecture and watching the topography morph. Quite easy to enter countries over there, it seems.

Yeah within the EU there are no borders. We can all travel freely. Except for during a pandemic 😅

Hello. Really enjoying watching your adventures. Can I suggest adding some music to your vlogs. I have no idea how hard or easy this would be to do. Just think it would be a good addition. Keep safe. Fred.

So I'm guessing when you get to Australia I won't be taking you to the Simpson Desert😂😂. Agree totally with your sentiments on camping. Being in Australia where we can camp anywhere I find it hard to fathom that it's illegal to camp in Europe. I've noticed that Europeans generally don't have campfires either. Gathering wood is the second thing we do over here after putting up the tent.

Hehe depends on what season 😅 not mid summer 🥵 Yeah it’s the same in Norway and Sweden. So for me it is extremely weird not to be allowed to…

Yes Kenneth I agree ,,wild,,camping should be accepted as normal.However there is not a lot of common sense with most people and they would leave a mess or make fires where it is really dangerous most of the year..But I just think there are enough places to camp and not be seen so not really an issue.
@RidetheBean
@RidetheBean 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah there are. But by banning it it you don’t give people a chance to learn about nature either. There are other ways to deal with those issues. Banning access to nature should be considered a crime in itself in my opinion…

Kenneth I have a tiger and yes total pain in the rear to stop and change to off road. What I do if you know your going to do off roading in your day I just switch it to off road even on tarmac What you have to remember every time you switch the engine off it resets to road mode.

Fantastic! On average, how many miles do you ride in a day? Or how many hours.
@RidetheBean
@RidetheBean 2 жыл бұрын
That varies a lot. But ideally I like to spend about 6 hours on the bike per day. Much more I get tired and don’t enjoy it that much. And much less I don’t really get anywhere. But it really depends on where I am and where I’m going and why. Some days Inspend 12+ hours and some just a couple of hours.
@bradb2514

Thanks Kenneth. I’m finding that my mileage is unpredictable so I guess that’s the same for everyone. Ride safe!

Allemannsretten FTW. It puzzles me why the countries down in Europe bans camping. They should have the same rights that we norwegians have around that topic.
@RidetheBean

Yeah me too 🤷🏼‍♂️ people keep saying it is because people leave trash and beak trees… but is that really an argument for banning the use of nature?

@@RidetheBean They're anticipating product safety claims from morons and opportunists. "I wuz ridin and changing modes and I hit a tree, so it's the bike's fault, pay me" Not true everywhere, but definitely true in the US.

Agree totally on your ideas of wild camping. There should be a distinction. Wild camping is simply putting up a tent and resting before driving on. Sure, in today's fire hazard situation, strict fire protocol must be adhered to. But nobody can tell you not to sleep outside. It is like dictating that you do not breathe the air. Simple as that, and nobody should accept such dictatorial rules.
