E65: The Road to Lisbon

Hi mates. You guys took the most boring road from Algarve to Lisbon. It was the main road before the highway was built. You should do the atlantic coast or the n2 road that is a bit boring( all Alentejo is a bit, no corners...) but an iconic road and have more services especially for bikers. The centre/north as more fun roads. whatch out for fires on your routes. Have a great time and a safe jorney

Lisbon is windy, coffee is the best, food is brilliant, ride the coast roads or the mountains, Portugal the best.

The wind certainly made that a tough ride, but the temperature seemed very nice. There were some good views through the area you rode. Glad you had a safe day of riding and Jonathan found a luxury hotel for the night! Ride safe Kenneth!

Hehe yeah it’s tiring to ride in wind like this 😅 Even if the road is a bit boring, the view are usually nice 😛 I can afford a nice place like this when we can split the costs 😁 but when aim alone again It won’t be too many hotels like this 😅

@@RidetheBean …….… I certainly understand the hotel dilemma! It’s hard to justify an expensive room for the night. Camping is ideal most of the time!

It will be sad to see the episode when you and Jonathan go your separate ways. You guys are bro's for life after this adventure. Next year, maybe I'll do a tour in Europe on my bike. Riding on the Nürburgring is on the bucket list for me, and visiting the fields of Verdún.

Our apologies, Beanster. We should have left you coffee in Lisbon, as well. A bit if a giggle that you rode through Loule and nearly past Bean 17on your way to your camp spot. But Lisbon is a great city. Any city next to an ocean is worth a look. Good episode! Happy, safe travels ( in Africa) 👍
