The Mustang is so unique for a Tamiya, love my TT02s. 😊😊

Thanks for the mention! Let me know if you need any tips going for that 150mph!

Stew- Mac hahaha thanks Stew. No problem for the shout-out. I’m amazed at how fast you get yours up to and how it stays straight. Quite impressive. Keep up the great work.

RC Retro parts are on order to rebuild it again. Not sure it will ever reach those speeds again. I’m thinking of playing with some brushed motors and see how it can go. I’m looking at a TRF to try for the 125mph with a Tamiya. Great work with this vid though.

What gearing do you recommend for decent top speed ?? Im running a tt 02 type s with oil diff and full metal drivetrain. Have the 68t and 22t right now.
@StewMac5704 жыл бұрын
Thomas gearing is a bit of an art. Motor Kv is needed and then we need to work our what’s the best rpm for the motor and work up at one gear at a time. A great place to start is at 5.5 FDR and work down from there watching motor temps as you go.

Very helpful. These TT-02's are great little cars and there is so much you can upgrade on them as you have shown. I've got another one to start building soon and I think I'll order some of these bits for it. Thanks for the info :-)

great video nice set up. I have a TT02 that I use for rally with some of these parts. My TT02 is running a 3s brushless system but somehow the plastic diffs are still alive! Love the music:)

A lot of people like to knock the TT02.. me personally, I love mine. I only have a torque tuned motor in it but I'm going to drop in something a bit faster... nothing crazy through.... a lot of my early videos had backing music from bands that I enjoy but I kept getting copy right notifications... so I stopped using them...

I really enjoyed that video buddy, it’s something I’m toying with myself. There’s something so satisfying about adding the Blue alloy to a car 😍👊🏻
@RCRetro5 жыл бұрын
TAMIYA Legends it’s the way the metallic blue pops against the black chassis. I personally like the off road stuff better. I had to get at least one on road car to run. Not so much fun doing circles in a parking lot.

Hello, I would like to replace the shock absorbers with oil pressure shock absorbers on my Tamiya Ford Mustang GT4 1:10 TT-02 chassis, but currently do not know the required length. Please get back to me.
@RCRetro Жыл бұрын
I don't know the length off hand... just google dampers shocks for TT02.. if you go to websites like RCmart you can do a search for TT02 and all option parts including shocks will come up..

Here are the bearings I used... any bearing is better than the plastic crap ones supplied with the kit. www.ebay.com/itm/143988491540?hash=item2186620514:g:mSEAAOSwH3lgwiyX

I have 3 of these cars and they are so much fun. But the aftermarket parts get expensive
@RCRetro5 жыл бұрын
tony barajas that’s true, but that’s the fun part also. Upgrading to aftermarket parts to get better performance. New stuff is always coming out. Gotta love this expensive and addicting hobby.

any chance you know the size of the bearings in those aluminum steering arms?

Get a 13.5t motor and a esc hop up fan..The stock esc will run 3s with the fan option ..All that alloy stuff like arms and shafts is junk waste of time and money..13.5t on 3s and upgrade the diff ring and drive pinion gears
@RCRetro3 жыл бұрын
Hey Buddy, hope all is well. Thanks for the tips. This car is long gone. However, I do have another one but it’s the Subaru Impreza Monte Carlo. 13.5 with the stock Tamiya esc and 3s And get a fan? I really wasn’t planning on going that fast with any on-road stuff but I’ll consider it at some point just to see how fast I can get it up too. Be well my friend.
@philthyco13 жыл бұрын
@@RCRetro Yea..I just saw this video in my suggestions today lol..and yea just use a lipo alarm cuz the stock esc is set up for li-fe so the lvc is low..The fan is key.. without it the esc will thermal after a few minutes

Love that car. Thanks for posting this video and the hop ups. I have this car on order and should get it in about a week or so. I have ordered the bearing kit and drive shaft but not sure what size shocks to get. Any chance you can tell me what size they are 50, 55 mm shocks? Any help would be great. Thanks

Would the gear set fit on a TT01 chassis?
@RCRetro3 жыл бұрын
I don't think so. Tamiya makes a high speed spur set for the TT01 www.tamiyausa.com/shop/option-parts/rc-tt-01-spur-gear-set/
