Brilliant tree, really meets the goal. I wandered on over from tonys bonsai channel. I had to chuckle at your 'forever' comment about the floppy hat. I am that kind of girl...baseball caps are my go to. Hope you found a way around your needs. Have dropped a sub and look forward to more of your videos.

I'm really sorry to hear that you now have this severe reaction to the sun. The wide brim hat does look good. That tree is intense. I agree with a previous comment, it's tornado swept!!! I look forward to future videos.

Thanks Stephen! The scroll I’ll create includes a watercolor tornado 🤣

nice Job on your tree, Chinese elms are a very invasive species where I live and they grow everywhere...Might have to try one for bonsai...

Invasive = ‘fast growing, strong and hardy, can live under a variety of conditions’ 🤣. Sounds like the perfect bonsai

Going by the angle of your tree it must be very windy there and it would’ve blown your wide brimmed hat off anyway.Great tree,great vid thanks…and good luck 🇬🇧👍

Definitely would have needed to add the chin strap!!!

Nice. I'm finding out (the hard way) how my bonsai styling doesn't exactly match my bonsai "vision". I took a cutting from a dwarf juniper growing in our garden 2 yrs ago and I pet it daily. I tried styling the juniper in the ground and yeah...it's definitely an acquired skill. I still pet that one too, even though I accidently left the mark of the Beast on it. There's always next spring to make better choices with what's left of it. I'm definitely a fan of your windswept design here. It already has lots of movement to it.
@Candice.BonsaiScience2 жыл бұрын
The more bonsai you look at and handle the more the styling starts to be easy to meet with the vision.

I just did the maintenance pruning and structural wire removal on a euonymous windswept I created last year. I still have to wire the new growth I kept, but I totally agree windswept are a pain! Look great when finished, but maintenance is painful!
