I have already asked this question several times on multiple channels. but unfortunately I never get an exact complete answer: how do you turn on the press perfectly? it's something with R1 twice and then R2 again R1 and this at the right time? but in some competitions this works perfectly for me. This way, even when my player is close by, I can quickly take the ball back into the loop. but then there are moments or even entire matches in which this does not seem to work. or I press with 1 player and easily open the openings for my opponent. or I'm too far from the player when I press R2 the last time (R2 with O) a very good tutorial that explains step by step when the correct moves are done. that is the key in defense. . Everyone already knows that your CV should remain at the back, how to put second man pressing (because that always works quite well) I mainly think I'm too fast between the steps. and panic too quickly, but maybe you know exactly how to solve this?

The best way to turn on the press is using r1. Neil has said before that he spams it when using it but i havent felt a difference between spamming it and holding it.

The most irritating thing about this game is the defending. The game decides when you can or cannot sprint to win through balls. I cannot count the number of time I had a clear advantage to the ball, but could not sprint to the ball. YES I was holding the sprint button. This game has been the absolute worst for AI defense. The state of play almost feels like its rubberbanding because when you go to sprint its almost like your trying to pull a semi until the game decides to cut the rope and let you run free. EAFC25 has become literally the worst rated EA game EVER release by them within 2 weeks. THIS SAYS SOMETHING. We need a complete overhaul of the EA team of thought process behind the game mechanics. EAFC24 was the end of tactful defending and somehow only became worse the following year. I had hope for this game this year, but after playing online solo and with friends, either in clubs or seasons the game has let me down. Every time I log on I somehow think it will be different. Sure there are good days and bad days, but as a long time and avid FIFA player. EA wrecked the game since they lost their FIFA license. Every time I leave this game I feel one of two things; frustrated or insane for thinking the outcome would be different. When playing the game especially with friends you do have many moments of fun. However, that is never long lasted and I have never left the game happy or even neutral. I end up leaving in a worse mood than I entered. With that being said.....I ended up quitting EAFC24 and deleting it halfway through the last year with high hopes for this one. My friends were waiting in anticipation of my return to the online FIFA world. I bought EAFC25 the day it came out and realized the game felt the EXACT same. If you dug deeper there are changes that were made, but overall it felt like the same game. After a few weeks of playing the same frustration and insanity set in. I was losing my mind.....each....and....every....time....I....played. This is why I stopped playing the last edition of the game.....I thought back to a time where EAFC wasn't in my life a few months ago...I cannot tell you how much happier I was and how much more miserable I am now.....I do understand I am letting a game get the better of me, but that very fact of getting emotional over games is what ties you to the game AND what makes it great....I want this game to be good so much that I continued playing it after I knew the results wouldn't change....I was absolutely committed to giving this game a good go.....especially after feeling like a quitter when I deleted and uninstalled EAFC24. I've seen a lot of similar discourse on reddit regarding the defending...ALL IN ALL.... EA DO YOUR JOB! Make a game that the fans ENJOY to play, not a game that give you an aneurism every time you play! RANT OVER.

one thing in the video you showed, but didnt say is that defensive stats dont matter at all... maybe def awareness for jockey speed

Defensive awareness is all you need, you can still tackle with 5 stand tackling. But ofc interceptions etc are important but positioning trumps all of those stats

I used the diani example its about angles, it dosent effect the sprint speed, it only effects acceleration so in that example, acceleration also is taken into account depending on the distance, I dont know without seeing it
