I wouldn't really care about lost licenses if EA weren't that lazy to express some of their own creativity with the generic names and teams. They started great with Piemonte Calcio and Roma FC, but after the loss of Atalanta, Lazio and Napoli, they lack creativity on the badges and the kits. Lazio has had the same one from FIFA 22, and Roma, Atalanta and Napoli the same as FIFA 23. It would be cool if EA added like generic kit manufacturers and sponsors to the kit, or at least create an edit mode so we can patch these team to their true form

The thing is there actually are great edit tools, problem is there scattered in different game modes. For example the ability to create a club is locked to that specific mode, which makes no sense because then what's the point of the EDIT section in settings, same with pro clubs have certain hairstyles and player career having tattoos which the edit mode player creation doesn't have

I cannot think of another sports game (NBA 2K, The Show, etc.) where you have fake teams in place of real ones due to exclusivity deals with individual teams over a deal with the league. It’s so stupid Konami and EA cannot both use all the teams (branding, etc.) if they have an agreement in place with the league they’re a part of. Give gaming companies full access to everything and let players decide which game fits them better as opposed to locking teams in behind dumb agreements to force them to buy one title over another. The only ones these continued exclusivity deals are harming are fans who just want to play with their favorite team on their preferred game.

EA and Konami sure really loves fighting over Serie A like it's the last slice of pizza. While 11 years ago, Serie A is fully licensed in FIFA 14, it's only Serie B that isn't licensed in the game with the exception of Pescara Calcio and some lower ranked national teams like India, surprisingly Portugal is unlicensed in the game. This is why I prefer FIFA 14 than modern football games. If I had to play modern FIFA, I would look for some mods that replaced generic kits and logos with authentic ones.
