Dario Kolak Because Messi and Ronaldo are the two best players in the world and they shouldn't be attainable as if they were an 84-85 rated player but should be the hardest task on the game to get them. It wouldn't be realistic if EVERYONE had Ronaldo or Messi. So, if you really really want him, you should earn him by not just playing games but trading as well.

Donovan O'Leary If it's clear they can't fix the glitch, then papering the cracks also wont work in the long run. It's short term gain for long term harm. It's a poor business move. Every other game that has troubles with game gold being sold tries to privately fix issues, doesn't attack sites, gamers, communities or KZbinrs for their problems, but actively bans accounts for buying gold. EA need to follow suit. Accept that a game w/ it's own currency is going to come with contention RE: Black market sales, and instead of blaming the world for their problems, they should actively ban coin buyers and seller, and make it actually NOT worth while to buy coins.

Completely agree Nep, a friend and I do a pack opening every year after Christmas, we put £25 in and buy £50 worth of packs. The first time we did it was in FIFA 13 and we were able to open a fair few packs by buying FIFA points (or Microsoft points as they were back then). The most we ever got from the pack openings was 200k each. But this year we decided to spend the £50 on coins, and we were able to buy 2 million coins. So we were both able to get 1 million coins each. I dunno about you guys but i would rather pay that money and guarantee getting coins than spend that money on less than 50 packs and only get a few hundred thousand back.

The problem with coin selling is that when players don't sell e.g. Sanchez for 50k, more and more Sanchez's will be on the market so when the price bands go down, he still won't sell because there are too many cards of the market, creating a market crash. If EA then use the FUT 15 ranges, without the coin sellers, most good cards will become extinct in FUT 16

Before price caps Messi was about 13 million on PlayStation. 1 million coins was about £1.50 to £2. Making Messi around £26. I think a good idea would be to just get rid of the market, increase card weights of players, for a loss on ultimate team you gain a bronze pack, for a draw a silver pack, and a win would be a gold pack, it would encourage people to play, they don't have to buy fifa points to open packs and coin sellers will be gone because there's no such thing as coins.

Barely anyone who is complaining now about FIFA 15 is going to buy PES 16. Just like everyone complained about FIFA 14 and still bought FIFA 15. I am personally not buying FIFA anymore since FIFA 13. But my point: EA can care fuck all about the entire community because the entire community is basically a slave to FIFA and won't buy the other titles (which there aren't because EA horded all the rights exc. the CL and EL competitions because PES was still ahead of FIFA back then.). Yeah EA has leverage over every other game on the market, and especially with Ultimate Team. Yeah, PES may have better gameplay, but EA has better gamemodes, and licenses. Until PES gets as good as FIFA or better in those aspects, EA won't change their game, because there's no reason to. It's really sad to know that FIFA 14 = 15 = 16 = 17.

Nep, you're spot on with what you're saying about EA and what they've done to the market. By dictating the market EA have only made it worse, with Price Ranges dropping almost daily it's turned into some twisted Deflation where people are waiting for player's prices to drop to an affordable level so don't buy them but the main problem is still there. It's EA's fault for the market being so fucked by not fixing the root problem, stop the coin farming and stop people buying/selling coins. Obviously Fifa points are far too expensive to be a viable substitute of coins for the everyday user so it's likely that EA would get what they want with people playing FUT the "right" way and people actually playing games and trading in order to gain coins and open packs. Also liked your idea of lowering the price of packs, that would make Fifa points go further and would actually make more sense to buy them then. Nice to see a Fifa KZbinr actually breaking down and explaining what's been going on with FUT, love the FUT Founder series.

I always revert to cheap sweat teams. No matter what team I have I just can't win with highly rated good players. Doumbia scored 38 goals in 17 games which averages just over 2 goals a game, better than any other striker I have ever used this year in fut

I still don't get why they implemented the minimum price as that just makes it much harder to trade. I agree with the maximum price as coin sellers were messing up the market pushing players up astronomically quickly making the game much harder to play. I used to be able to make 100-200k an hour but now I can't. Investments are impossible as the price of Mario Götze will never drop below his minimum or exceed his maximum. Thanks EA as now I have a trade pile full of valuable players all with a cross in the top left corner. This was a lazy way of dealing with coin sellers as if you just sat down, fired Rashid and got to business, you could fix the coin glitch and make everyone happy. The truly best point you made was if they stop coin selling, they should stop fifa point selling as well. They just look at one being legitimate and the other being illegitimate. I've never bought points or coins, I just use the catalogue stuff to increase coins from playing games I sold my entire squad 3 days before they introduced price ranges. I had an all non rare gold team, got a decent amount. Had little intention of buying a new squad, since the price ranges came in I have easily the best squad I've ever had in FUT. 5-2-1-2 BPL side with De Gea / Coleman Sakho Cahill Vertonghen Baines / Ramsey Fabregas / Oscar / Sturridge Lukaku. I simply wouldnt have had the time to earn enough coins to buy these players before the ranges came in, so personally I feel they have helped me as a very casual player. That said, EA do need to massively drop points prices (half at least), because as you said coins wouldnt be so popular if they didnt work. People would buy points if they werent such a ripoff (or if their value in terms of pack cost was better)

For the more expensive players on fut price ranges would never work look at IF alaba hes impossible to get but if his price range was higher it would be more or less the same it would then get to a stage to actually have some on the market it would mean his price range is too high then no1 can sell him and no1 can afford him :/

Hey guys, well basically I work at GAME retailer and a few days after the price lock bullshit. Our head office got approached by EA and they have basically told every store to try there hardest to sale/up sale there FIFA 15 game and FIFA Points. So every shift I do I have to try and sell a cope of FIFA 15 with any console Sale or any customers that I feel are interested in football. So to me this shows that EA are not making as much money as they want and are doing everything they can to pull some extra money. This may explain more on why they have done this price lock shit and stopped coin selling and pushing FIFA Points. Just some more information :) Please drop a like so everyone can see:)

EA want a 'fair game'. If this was truely the case then everyone would have to play with the SAME team, in the SAME formation, playing in COMPULSARY kits. There would have to be NO coins, NO fifa points and most importantly NO market. If EA really want a 'fair game' then they are going to have to remove even more of the features that everyone enjoyed before they decided to mess it up or go back on their word, fix the glitches in THEIR game and not mess up what has made ultimate team fun for the last 6 years.

My perspective is that saying that there is a level playing field is only partially true. True that players can't buy players with coins but like nepenthez said opening loads of packs also makes you money although normally not as much as buying from coins. Anyway in division 1, you can't win it with an average team, people say you can but you have to be a pro player which not everyone is. Also EA wagers are rare now major pack openings are rarer, the more people watching fifa the more people that buy the game. My point is when price ranges come out new players teams are only going to be on a level playing field with the rest of the division before some players open packs and get good players.

I agree with you on some points the servers need to be fixed so people don't get disconnected and have problems like that. Also in my opinion ea should reward you based on how many fifa points you buy say for the month you buy 10 dollars then maybe ea gives you a free pack or if you spend 100 dollars maybe ea gives you a low 80 rated inform, 200 to 500 dollars for the month give you a mid tier inform from that month so like 84-86 rated, and finally for more than 500 in a month give the highest rated inform for the month. But to my little rant which some will hate me for but in all honesty ea should not have had to do this to get rid of coin sellers because at least in America it is illegal for them to sell coins. That is what I think they mean by illegitimate, because to make a profit off of the in game currency that ea put into fifa and other games these coin sellers need licensing to sell them. Licensing is the reason ea could not use the Brazilian league, and that is why they should not have a need for price ranges. But people will do what they want to do in the end for every company it is all about maximizing profit, and I agree with them that coin sellers should not have existed. Now that being said that gives ea no excuse to not fix their game. So if you disagree comment and tell me what you think but at least make it a logical arguement.

I've probably bought between 6-8 million coins this FIFA, but I can honestly say that being able to do that fucked it. I would honestly much rather just have it work the way it did in the FIFA 10, 11 etc days where you could buy MS Points to buy packs, and coin selling wasn't really a thing. It kept the market much more stable simply because of how expensive it was to buy packs with real life money. Yes it's a rip off, no question there, but it kept the market stable. Coin glitchers/sellers have both ruined the market equally because they are highly inter-dependent. I remember when Abate got an IF CB card and he went for around 60k, at the time that was a fuck ton of money for a player?! Messi and Ronaldo both went for between 300k-600k! But I do agree with you on one thing, Nep; EA have got to deal with the bots/auto-buyers/glitches and anything else that lets people get coins in a way that was not originally intended, literally nothing else will work. They've fucked the market more with the introduction of Price Ranges and so many people either can't shift players for their lowest BIN or simply aren't selling them because it's not worth it. There were around 450k auctions last night at 8pm on Xbox, before Price Ranges it was at LEAST triple that, they have actually made it more difficult to buy and sell players.

The changes will be a lot better next year, on fifa 16 all the coins won't be in the game and everyone will be on a level playing field at the start. People can still buy fifa points but it's luck whether you get a good player or not. So we just have to wait it out and deal with the rest of this fifa for FIFA 16 to be better

I might be completely off here but what if EA monitored selling prices and could be alerted to an extremely high one then the buyer gets banned. A way so people don't get wrongly banned is to have a message saying are you sure you want to purchase said player for said price.

This game mode is called Ultimate Team, so you should be able to buy the players you want. I admit I bought coins not extreme amounts but like a few hundred thousand coins but this would allow me to play with the players I want to. So coin sellers being abolished doesn't affect this game, the damage was already done billions and trillions of coins have been bought so why abolish them or implement a system that does this, 6 months into the game is completely pointless and they are now losing people playing the game, well played EA

The main problem with price ranges when trading is the minimum there shouldn't be a minimum AT ALL example jordi alba I bought one for 6100 buy now there were pages of him at that same price and when I tried to sell him it took me 2 days the maximum price range I can deal with its the minimum I can't deal with. I cannot sell my Ramires been trying for the last week but nothing. If anything remove the minimum price cap it's really dumb imo you already have a max cap no need for the minimum one at all

PokeSeller96 Yes, but if a player like Ronaldo drops in price it would be easier to buy coins. For example, let's say some random player has a max range of 5mill and minimum range of 4 mill. If there were no minimum range and this player crashes in price to lets say people start selling him for 2mill. People would buy him for 2 mill and list for the max price, which is 5 million. Coin selling would be back because of these price crashes.

Just a sideremark; whats the point now of spending fifa points or coins on pack because the general value of most players are so low. Example, you pull Reus, 86 rated, very hard to pull and he worth something like 40k now. Before the implementation of these price ranges, at least the packs paid off, no matter if you bought coins from seller or not. Rip Fut. Trading almost dead. Packs pulling is dead.

talking as someone who in the last 18 months has probably traded to get around 8million coins and has spent £25 at the start of fifa £25 on toty and 25 on tots i have packed 1 good player ibra, as you can imagine i had a team worth around 2million coins now not worth in 750k and i cant sell to trade to the team ive been working 6months to get im not happy. Nep is missing a key aspect of the issue when he says coins make players more obtainable, the idea is that if coin buying never came into play prices would have to stay at level that someone could get them just from winning enough tournaments/ titles, so everyone would have an equal playing field to obtain top level players.

People who are mad because EA made it impossible to buy coins are probably not the players I played against on FIFA 11 and 12. They would remember how much fun it was to see that the coins you earned in matches were actually leading to you being able to buy a good player. Now you have to trade (takes a lot of time) or buy coins (cheap and easy but ruins for non-buyers.) I bought coins myself this year to keep it fun and i'm really excited for FIFA 16 to launch without the ruined market. I really hope that EA will give us back the market like it was in FIFA 11, 12 and 13. And people need to understand that the KZbinrs are all mad because they are losing A LOT of money because of this update. Watch every NEP video since fifa 12 but can't disagree more with this topic.

Put it this way, I hate PES, I played it like 2 times, but for me to even consider buying it next year instead of FIFA shows how much FIFA has changed. Its not the coin selling or buying, its all the other little issues they don't even care about, how many years have we been asking for better servers, less glitches, changes to career mode, be a pro, pro clubs, and nothing changed. I never saw anyone complaining that much about coin buying/selling and thats the only thing they are trying to fix. They seriously want us to believe its all for the consumer?
