they could have, and would have, but with ea now in charge and the wrc licence i am skeptical. this game may just become a buggy yearly release for players that like to have the irl drivers and cars of each year, which i couldnt really care less about. im into the physics, actual driving, the locations, the graphics, the vr, the wheel support etc. we better not have to play career to unlock stuff, because with hundreds of hours into dr2.0 i have barely played career. its not my thing.

Looks good so far. But my concerns about the stages... 600km is not much in 17 countries, there are only 35 km/country... as i know CM, they are counting backwards as standalone stage which reduce the stage/country to around 17km... :( Splittet into 2 stages we will have a 8-9km average each stage... this is not much for rallying... Hope i'm wrong and we will have real 35km/country which is anyway not there much.

What a trailer! Truly made for rally fans. As someone who holds a world record in Dirt rally 2.0, I believe it would be great to see randomised surface degradation in championsgips. DR2's was already amazing. It changed the terrain and traction levels a lot, but it was static with several levels. Having a randomiser would make championships even more unpredictable.

@owobigboy7327 Yeah, I did miss that. Was referring more to engine sound and trailer montage (switching from game to real WRC). Have no problem with Denuvo, even though not having it would be better. Season pass in a competitive game is a big hiccup, though. One way or another, no one preorders EA's games since Battlefront 2. This one won't be an exception.

Simulation physics, see i never understood how people got off boasting about dirt rally 2.0 being a pure sim. If anything, my opinion was dirt rally was far more unforgiving and while still being an obvious simcade, it teetered more towards the sim aspect of things much more than dirt rally 2.0. Dirt rally 2.0 has and still feels so much like an arcade racer to me, even with all assists off.

True sims are hard to achieve, Granturismo claims to be a Sim, but really it is far from it. does WRC run on Sim rigs and is the Feedback right? hell yea its far better that WRC Generations and DR 2.0, really you need to try it to appreciate it, fortunately you get that luxury with Steam and its refund policy@@FlameBot

Personally the classic cars are the only fun ones to drive. Modern cars are just boring with their magic diffs and sequential transmissions. Just personal preference of course but I would never buy a rally game that only included modern cars.

The latter even more important, because car variety was a bit thin in the wrc games. And thats what I worry about the license. Because its not unusual that a license forces you to use season stuff only

If this keeps the vr from the dirt rallies and the community livery workshop from Wrc games I’ll be extremely happy. Dirt Rallies have had dope care line ups recently that mixed Generation’s lineup should be insane. And if the bring back the randomly generated maps as well from Dirt 4 I think it was?, there will be unlimited replay ability. I also really dug Generation’s controls more than Dirt Rally 2, with the slide ability and oversteer of cars that would be sick if they could find a middle ground. Have never rallied irl before so I don’t really know which one would be considered more realistic but I’ve had a blast with Generations on my wheel

A big win for me that they are using the Dirt Rally handling model. I still play Dirt Rally 2 to this day because it feels great. The current WRC games handling, the cars have no weight, you can't feel the bite of the tyres and it just feels like driving on ice
