@Crusade19829 күн бұрын
@@johnboling7426 I remember the pre 2000 era when 3d graphics were bad. But the EA sports games always looked the best. Back then, a good friend and I played NHL co-op at my place. Every year we looked forward to the next game, because graphics became so much better every year and it was always exciting to play the new game until it wasn’t. After 2000 3d graphic development reached a great level and from there it slowed down drastically. Recently I played Black Flag for the very first time, I had it for years and I didn’t want it to go to waste in case Ubisoft goes under and takes everything with it. This 12 year old game looks so much better than most games today. It feels to me, everything AAA corporations produce nowadays are just cheap cash grabs. Which is one reason why I rarely buy new releases, they are also mostly buggy as hell and incomplete with DLC that were cut from the game. Not to mention are littered with modern day politics.
@Unregistered.HyperCam.29 күн бұрын
@@Crusade1982AAA is definitely nothing but a cashgrab these days. We know a large portion of the AC Shadows team has *never made a video game before.* You have teams of devs who have never made a game, using engines that they don't even know how to _use,_ let alone use _optimally,_ being given tens or hundreds of millions of dollars and half a decade to make a game that will be almost impossible to make back as much money is sunk into it without MTX out the wazoo. If anything, "AAA" needs to scale back to "AA" at most, shrink studios massively, with devs that actually know how to code and optimize the games they're making, with a fraction of the budget & time to make a game far smaller in scope, but far higher in quality.
@Crusade19829 күн бұрын
@@Unregistered.HyperCam.2 I totally agree, especially about the part with the people who never made a video game before. Where I come from, a dual education system, part in a company, part at a trade school to learn a profession between 2-3.5 years. Depending on the complexity of the job and education you receive, you may end up pretty skilled after that period, having learned all practical and theoretical skills needed for the profession. Which includes, programming and operating CNC machines in my field. Those inexperienced people in AAA have a college degree and are worse off in their field than people who got an apprenticeship in a blue collar job. I’m very convinced most of them, besides the DEI hires, only work there because game developers make so much money in the US. They don’t care about games, they are not inspired to create something great, it’s just a job for them. Just like my job is just a job for me (because making random metal parts is not very exciting for most of the time). But chances of getting a job in the gaming industry other than being a solo indie dev are next to impossible for a white guy who actually cares about games.

Most companies after watching things crash and burn would normally revert changes, but for whatever reason we can't fathom they choose to keep pushing forward using these practices that cost them everything. so companies value is based on the projected and claimed earnings, this sent the price to 140 ish whatever it is. these earnings were revised, thus the stock price needs to adjust to the new earning results, and thats about 110 now, because the company is not worth as much as claimed. when they keep revising their numbers down, or dont have anything in the pipeline that will forecast large earnings, then that will effect the price even more. because that is the only thing trades base it on, because if they made it subjective, like thats not their job. fund managers do the subjective thing, traders do what they are told becasue they have fixed job, doing a fixed thing, based on what the investment says it can be invested in. Consumers would be a leading indicator, however it has no bearing on the stock price, the only bearing is the earnings and projected earnings which is the data that large investment houses make investments over. not if they think the game is good or not. Meaning, if you want to be ahead of the game, you need to do subjective stuff, to get ahead of the analysts that work the numbers and if you can beat earning calls, then you can make money in equities. corporations own EA stock, not retail people, not for the most part anyway E.g. if you think EA is going bad and you know their earnings are going to be worse than priced (based on previously published earnings) then you can short the EA stock, for a week. When the earning call comes down, these are advertised well in advance. If the price goes down, cause the earnings are poor. then you will make money in equities

They will continue to do this as long as they keep existing. It's no wonder they use DEI as another way to try to pander and exploit, just like they did through other avenues before this idea came about. Thanks for your interesting content! Very eager to see Switch 2 coverage and I will be looking into your games now.

I really appreciate that. Thank you. EA's business malpractice has had such a negative effect on the industry, taking advantage of the trust of gamers. I'll do my best to make cool videos and games for you.

It's funny but also sad to see Jerrel resort to playing that tune for a company. Because "we told you so", but also it's pretty much too late to save the ship. Just going through the motions till Leonardo DiCaprio dies of hyperthermia

As a self-taught violinist (I'm still very much a beginner), really appreciate the simultaneous playing and singing! Also, that instrument looks lovely! Looking forward to updates about your return to the industry!

I was able to rescue this fiddle from a Facebook marketplace owner who had done some damage and neglected the instrument. I am self taught as well. It took a ton of Skill Points to obtain the ability to sing while playing.

@sungrandstudios You're doing absolutely great! I think I speak for everyone who follows your channel when I say that we would love to see some sad violin being played in the near future, for all the major industry complainers and finger pointers.

Thanks for the request. I'll put it on the list. That's such a beautiful song that will be immediately... copyright claimed by KZbin. Hahaha

Busting out the violin. Now I want to re-watch the Civil War documentary.
