Eachine E200 UH-60 Blackhawk RTF & BNF versions (1,2&3 battery options): www.banggood.com/custlink/K3mYucKisD New to Scale RC Helicopters? Learn all about this fun side of our hobby on my website: www.rchelicopterfun.com/scale-rc-helicopters.html Addressing all rivet counters who have the same two comments/questions about the scale accuracy of this model: *_1. Main blades turning the wrong way:_* What you may not realize it that approximately 90% of all RC helicopters (100% of all this size) have CW rotating mains, and in order to switch the rotation direction, Eachine would have to have a different FBL system/firmware to accommodate the opposite phase lag & reactive torque. Something tells me they are not going to that trouble or expense for one single small heli in their entire line-up. And honestly who even cares? Once it's spooled, you can't tell which way they are turning; you simply see an opaque rotor disc. *_2. Doesn't have a true scale 4 bladed tail rotor:_* Some basic Newtonian physics involved with that scale compromise. All small helis like this one these days use a brushless motorized direct drive fixed pitch tail rotor because it's the best option in terms of performance, robustness, efficiency (thrust & energy), ease of maintenance, weight & cost. Thrust changes with this design occur only by motor speed changes, not tail blade AOA pitch changes; so the faster the tail motor can speed up and slow down, the better the tail hold & tail authority will be. A 4 bladed tail rotor would have too much rotating mass to accelerate & decelerate fast enough (slow response time) to counter the fast torque changes from the main rotor. In short, both anti-torque control and tail authority would SUCK. Other manufacturers have already tried this and it doesn't work - period! The most that has been used with acceptable results are 3 bladed fixed pitch tail rotors; however a two bladed fixed pitch tail rotor still works the best in terms of reaction speed, performance & efficiency. www.rchelicopterfun.com/rc-helicopter-rudder.html These are the necessary scale compromises required to have a decent & efficient flying scale RC helicopter in this 200 size range. This is not a static model that sits on the shelf collecting dust after all; believe it or not, RC enthusiasts actually want to fly it and we want a good performing heli while doing so. 🙂

How simple is it to bind to your own transmitter and setting it up? Just add then bind and good to go ? Or is there more in depth to programming the radio if so how would one do that? Do the instructions tell you how ?
@Rchelicopterfun2 жыл бұрын
If you fully understand collective pitch setup with a computerized radio and have setup your fair share of collective pitch RC helicopters, this heli is no different from any other collective pitch helicopter when it comes to setup. If you've never setup a collective pitch RC helicopter on a computerized radio, it's a big learning curve (why I've written an eBook on it). The included instructions don't go over any of it. It's also somewhat computerized radio dependent. I'm flying with an OpenTX computerized radio (RadioMaster TX16S to be exact), and use my OpenTX heli template which I cover in detail in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpWpgKGahaxqrtE

Mode is a function of the transmitter, not the helicopter. The transmitter the RTF version comes with allows both mode 1&2 gimbal assignment. The other option is to pair it to your own existing mode 1 or 2 computerized transmitter as I have done. Eachine uses Futaba's S-FHSS protocol in their built in receiver, but as shown in the video you can plug in DSM or S-bus RX's as well.

Not a big deal to get readings and do repairs on these batteries, I just bought a second charger and wired in my charger's connectors which allow me to balance and fast charger on my smart charger and get readings with the AccuCell - it's not much of a negative at all. Before I got this beauty I stuck the guts of the XK124 in a 1/48 plastic model UH-60 Blackhawk with even more detail than this (obviously being a scale plastic display model kit) and using the plastic kit scale main blades replacing the XK blades, even replaced thew tail rotor with the scale 4 blade rotor but that failed at the hub so went back to the XK tail rotor, just painted it black, it is actually hard to know which I prefer, this heli is a bit bigger at around 1/40 scale but my kit bash is more detailed and lighter and cost me less than a quarter of the price.
@Rchelicopterfun2 жыл бұрын
I respectfully disagree that it's not a "big deal". Sure you can do all that, but the majority of folks out there either don't understand how to, nor do they have the time to. Fundamentally, why should we have to? Why should we be paying over double the price for a smart pack over a standard one? Why then spend even more money and time to purchase and hack a charger to get it to work with a charger you already have? Why are we being forced into proprietary packs? This is absolutely unacceptable, never mind all the reported charger and pack failures on this thing thus far. Smart packs have no place in our hobby. If Eachine continues down this path with future models, they have just lost me as a product supporter.

Hi Francois - unfortunately, no scale RC heli regardless of size makes a good trainer to learn on. The E200 is no exception. Scale is simply too fragile and too unforgiving to even the smallest mistakes. Learn on a good collective pitch pod & boom heli first, and only once you are to the point you rarely (if ever) crash it in all upright orientations flying your basic circuit patterns, are you then ready for a scale collective pitch RC helicopter.

You start on a more robust and forgiving pod and boom helicopter. I cover good options on my Best RC Helicopter page on my website along with how to learn to fly and setup RC helicopters: www.rchelicopterfun.com/best-rc-helicopter.html

I like the model, but any other 15T’s getting annoyed by the little things wrong with the model

One of my batteries burst into flames while charging. It seemed to be talking longer than usual for the light to stop blinking, then it started to smell and was bursting so I could not get it out of the charger. I put it in a lipo fire bag and took it outside, just after I put it on some bricks, it burst into flames, destroying the charger and headlight.

@Mark A### - Sorry to hear that - another dumb 'smart' battery goes up in flame. Definitely the single lowest point of this otherwise very nice little scale heli. Let's hope a standard 3S LiPo solution is available soon.

@@Rchelicopterfun I am not the only one that has had this problem. From what I have read, original battery chargers could not detect under voltage from when a battery has been over discharged. If batteries are left in the helicopter they will drain completely so that when they are put in the charger the charger keeps charging them and does not turn off. They have since modified the chargers and issued warnings to not leave the batteries in the helicopter and to not attempt charging batteries if they do not respond.

Did they bring back the old heli-max Blackhawk or is this all new? I had one awhile ago. Looks exactly that same

Good memory and yes, the fuselage is almost identical. Mechanics and electronics however are completely different.

I agree it`s remarcable compared to "RTF" scale helicopters of this size.

Looks great but the price is double nuts. I'll stick to my cheap & cheerful K110 & E160.

I jus got mines 2day and after further examination I think this copter is not worth $400 maybe $250-$300 and u r right it’s very fragile thin plastic almost like egg shells 1 hard landing and it’s bound to break.. but I like the scale looks too bad the doors don’t fully open

Welcome to the world of scale - they are *ALL* fragile.
