A quick tip for anyone who has just got one of these. SET THE TRIM. mine flew up, up, and away. I've just spent the last hour wandering through the fields in the dark looking for mine. The up and down control worked fine. It flew up into the sky perfectly, then just drifted away into the distance. The forward and back control didn't seem to do anything. The moral of the story is, fly it at low level, and make sure all is good, before you take to the sky.
@leerupprecht90725 жыл бұрын
how to set the trim? please explain thanks
@meeekstubbular3 жыл бұрын
ha ha I know the feeling had same event yesterday someone saw it falling . But 2 y ago! anyway for anyone reading the control has 4 arrows 2 vertical and 2 horrz ...but i can tell you it does little in the wind . What you actually have to do is before taking off is pull down both lever S E (down to the right) to... forgot the word but reset it right. then you can play with the arrows trim (full trim will repeat fast beep yet in windy condition it won't do much ) I meant 'to calibrate it' As for the trim ... How to adjust it with the wind? I don't think you'll get it right as one way it'd be perhaps ok then coming back with the wind it'd be far too much.

I watched every review on this drone because it's my first drone. This review was the best and most in depth, well done! One thing that no one mentions, which for the beginner is important is the Wifi: 2.4 GH is 802.11 b/g/n and the phone Android 4.3 or higher. Most 4G phones have this.

Great instructional video. You quelled my confusion about how to calibrate the gyro and your demonstration of using the controller with a cell phone will help me bunches because the app loses my thumbs as I slide them around on my phone, causing me to crash the machine. I would suggest securing the SD Card with a small piece of cellophane tape as I lost one when I crashed the drone. IMHO this little machine is the ONE to learn on. Using the prop guards without painting them before use with fluorescent paint will save losing them like I have. The prop replacement is a venture into aggravation because the parts are very small-the project took me back to my younger years when I was a hydraulic mechanic on F-4 & F-15 fighters...LoL.

@@steiny3353 Thanks for replying :) Yep it's may be not the best and it is not very relatively expensive. But I have been flying for a good 3 weeks now and it's very challenging with any breeze but i manage to enjoy it. So many such things get you going for a while then one looses interest for various reasons ! I guess when my dies again or get lost it'd probably be the end of 'Drones' for me. If you don't have a real need for one it can be a very expensive hobby too!
@steiny33533 жыл бұрын
@@meeekstubbular That's basically what happened to me too. When I finally got it (it took forever) I had a hell of a job flying it in any sort of breeze, crashed it a few times, then put it away for about eight months and forgot about it. Just recently, my stepson asked about it, so I dug it out but couldn't get it to do anything. He got it going, but had the same problem with the wind. Some of the advertising videos for them are very misleading, showing it doing all sorts of cool stuff. It was marketed as a "Dronex Pro" but some of the reviews say it is simply branded to LOOK like a Mavic. It's still at his place and I haven't bothered getting it back. Sort of lost interest too, to be honest. Like you, when it finally dies, that will be all for me too. Thankfully, it wasn't an expensive exercise. Cheers

Fantastic demo and review, the best I have discovered on KZbin. I just received my Eachine e58 drone and have 7 flights so far. I have not used the app yet as I got a warning that downloading that type of file could harm my phone's security. My drone seems to be missing the receiver for the SD card. Perhaps it fell loose inside the drone. Overall, this is the finest value I have ever gotten in my 66 years of living. I cannot believe the technology in this drone for less than $50. I plan to order at least one more for back up as I plan to fly a lot when warmer weather arrives. I also notice someone selling 1200 mAh batteries that fit the e58 drones. I plan to order a 5 split charger and several more batteries to support my drone squadron. Thanks again for a really great review and tutorial.

Would you still stand by your words "30% with wind and still"? Not a chance, even 2nd gear it's not enough. And in 3 rd gear watch out if it goes with the wind. 'out of good sight' and you'd probably lose it one way or the other. But with plenty of space like a sport oval it's manageable and fun.

I think my E-58 got jealous, I bought a Mavic Mini and flew it around quite a bit and about a week later, I got out my E-58, set it up put it in the air and it took off about 100 yards and landed itself, I had to walk out there and get it. I haven't flown it since. Guess I'll sell it or give it to my grandkids.

Thank you for the review. I came looking for instruction on how to fly as the manual is so confusing. The translation is hard to decipher. Great review. Your instructions are clear and easy to understand. As a newbie droner I'm looking forward to learning how to fly. Cheers!

Drone newb and just got this for my birthday. I've got most of it figured out but what is the headless mode? You just skip through like everyone should know how this works. Thanks for the review besides that!

That's my Question too! Was that without the headlights or does it mean something else altogether?
@EdiB.E.M.4 жыл бұрын
Judging by my own drone's manual, "headless mode" makes the drone fly in a specific direction without you controlling it.

Nice video explanation of the controls. I got mine last week and still trying to figure out the controls. The instructions that came with it are terrible.

Worst instruction "manual" I have ever seen. Your video really helped me out. Now I can really enjoy flying this little machine. One other thing, I attached the prop guards first thing. The props hit them. So, removed the guards. Why would they give us these things that are too short? The SD card was another thing I was totally unaware of. Now I can use that too. I will obtain more batteries because the fun lasts too short a time when you only have one battery, and charging takes two hours. Such fun! Thank you so much for the very informative review.

Eachine's E58 is my first Drone, it's so much fun!

Ha ha!! I'm all in on this. ;-) 'Son of Mavic!' Leave it to Eachine, usually always quality at great prices. I'd love to see Eachine come out with a brushless, GPS version of a selfie drone. In my experience, they do a great job in the price/performance department. Thanks for another enjoyable video!

I bought one and could not make heads or tails of their chinglish! Now perhaps I can fly it thanks!

I got one of these for $80 and it seems so light. The performance is all right I guess for that price. But I have to watch the weather and wind on apps like AccuWeather or Weather by Tomorrow before flying it.

Just ordered one the other day, can't wait for drone to get here. Loved the video quite informative , just one question, pls explain the headless mode a bit, I think I'm understanding it a bit , but just give me an example of when and or why someone might use this mode. Thanks

Great video. Thanks for putting the link for buying spare batteries and parts. I've been looking for extra batteries for this drone.

Nice review! Eachine are actually a really good company in my opinion, yes they copied the mavic form factor but they have actually completely designed this themselves. Ive done a video on the Eachine E55 and was really impressed for the price.

I just bought this model for practice and learn how to fly before upgrading to a better version. I'm doing well at crashing indoors- too wild outside at the moment. This is very helpful thanks. Trying to find out how long it takes to charge.

Still charging mine. It takes about 2 hours. Kinda curious about the high winds
