Stock motors here.. replaced the props with 3 blade rakon heli 40mm ones, and replaced battery with 380mah tattu one, removed led bar, replaced antenna with dipole, and reinforced frame with DAP dynaflex 230.. 47g with battery, and flies really well.

WOOF mine absolutely blows out of the box, can barely maintain altitude in forward flight.. Thanks for posting this. I am going to try to put a set of spintech insane in mine..

yo i was thinking the same tho mine didnt came yet ., anyhow could you update the comm when you test there preformance out? :D

Better with the insane motors, still not good enough though.. Motors and copter were a waste of money IMO

Thanks for the info Mate. I've got one sitting in my santa sack so good to know about the motors prior to X-mas. No need for the motors link, i think you've been asked enough for one day LOL Aus warehouse had stock WooHoo. Ordered 2 sets. Cheers

Using hubsan tri blades with 380mah lipos work well with stock motors.

I have really had it with those Brushed Tiny whoops. so I went ahead and Ordered the Aurora 90mm frame on banggood. and then Added my own electronics. and some 10000kv 2s. motors. now the problem you are facing is gone!

Thanks for the video! Did you try cutting down the 4-blade stock props to 2-blade? Maybe they would vibrate less then? I did that to my E010 and it's more nimble and flies a lot longer.
@JacobScherer8 жыл бұрын
cybervid07 I did, but I haven't had a chance to test yet. Just looking at them though, they probably won't have as much thrust, but may be better efficiency.

great job getting this thing to fly well im almost excited to get it now in the mail as i had preordered one..... anyway can you provide a link to the motors you bought on HK and also does banggood have the same motors? Another thought i have is you removed the connectors is it possible that the connectors ARE the problem?
@JacobScherer8 жыл бұрын
briansowder10 hobbyking.com/en_us/brushed-motor-4-pcs-per-set.html Not a bad thought on the connectors being an issue, but usually when that is the case, the performance isn't consistently bad like this was. I'm planning on getting a tachometer soon so I can test motor speed, then we could know better. Banggood has a few options on 8.5mm motors, and even ones with the PicoBlade connectors.

I used stock, but when I get more time I intend to flash BF 3.01 (or 3.1 if it is official) and do some tuning. I have some Picnic Quad frames to try out when I have more time too!

Hi Jacob. Can you put the web page link of the HobbyKing motors? I can't find them. Thanks.
@JacobScherer8 жыл бұрын
Alfonso Irwin hobbyking.com/en_us/brushed-motor-4-pcs-per-set.html I just got them because of the price, any higher kV 8.5mm motor should be good

Could you provide a link of the motors you used from HobbyKing?
have u tried the stock motors with 2s setup to see if they really are a 2s motors?
@JacobScherer8 жыл бұрын
No, I just went straight to swapping them out. I'd bet money they are lower kV motors though intended for 2S. I don't think the FC is setup to handle 2S.

It is the same size as inductrix. People are using this FC on th E010 frame too.This frame may be more fragile than you would like...

I need help, I need a suggestion on how to stop my motor (QX70) from starting up when I plug in my battery. I am currently running cleanflight, my FC is DSMX.

Arliss Dawson Do all the motors spin? Do they spin continuously? High RPM or low RPM? Does the quad still fly or respond to inputs?
@arlissdawson72348 жыл бұрын
They spin up continually at a high RPM. I have been unable to fly the quad.
@arlissdawson72348 жыл бұрын
Jacob Scherer, my friend was able to switch over to betaflight and everything turned out okay. The low power you spoke of is a reality, and it sucks. Now I need to go out and spend some more money on something the manufacturer should have done in the beginning.
@JacobScherer8 жыл бұрын
Glad to hear you got it going. Make sure to submit a repair/refund request on your order, let's see if Banggood makes it right.

hey, check out the grayson hobby channel on that quad. Lots of tips. The one they are flying is 50% faster than yours, out of the box. I am wondering if the motors you got are not very good batch. Check it out.
@JacobScherer8 жыл бұрын
Gary Regier just watched it and it seemed like they said that even with different props the power wasn't very good, losing altitude with fast forward flight. Seemed like they were kind of couching the underperformance because they sell it...

@JacobScherer8 жыл бұрын
voltiosin hobbyking.com/en_us/brushed-motor-4-pcs-per-set.html I used those motors, just because they were the cheapest I could find, but any higher kV motor should work. Walkera Lady Bird props, they are popular for other 8.5mm motor quads, and they are available all over. I'm using the stock battery for now.
@SeeFPv-qm6ie8 жыл бұрын
is it possible to install 8.5mm motors i ordered one of those quads
@JacobScherer8 жыл бұрын
Eddie Saldana as I said in the video, it is a little complicated because they decided to use PicoBlade instead of the industry standard microJST1.25 so you have to solder or get connectors.
@MrRajien28 жыл бұрын
With that being said.... Im having a really crappy time finding the dam connectors the site says SH1.0 Plug / 2-pin Picoblade... I just ordered 4 motor for like 2 bucks and will cut the ends off. Im not a fan of micro soldering. www.banggood.com/Eachine-Fatbee-FB90-Micro-FPV-Quadcopter-Spare-Parts-2S-8_5x20mm-Coreless-Motor-with-SH1_0-Plug-p-1108673.html

Cody Gordon I'm guessing that those motors are going to perform terribly with 1S.
@MrRajien28 жыл бұрын
Ohh totally I bet they are same as stock, I ordered 2 sets of the hobbyking 54k motors and 2 sets of the crapy stock sets. I will chop the ends off the stock motors to prevent soldering on the main board.
