Love this knife. I have the exact same model, and I RIT dyed the scales black. They took the dye extremely well and it looks amazing. The crazy thing is, the action on this knife is the best out of my entire collection. It’s better than my $350+ knives. I just don’t understand it, but I love it.

Do you need to get the jade color to be able to dye it ?

@@TacticalJay. Nah, but it’s a neutral color so it takes dye well. If you start with a dark G-10 and then add dye, you’ll only get darker colors. Think back to elementary school art class and the color wheel.

I've got a couple of their knives. They are supposed to be in D2 but may not be. Some of their older knives sold as D2 ended up not being actual D2. I really like the them in some ways. They have cool designs and are pretty solid feeling. One isn't very smooth as far as it's action is concerned and their finishing isn't that great. One of them is like a wide drop point tanto with a recurve. It's one of the coolest blade design's I've ever seen. I bought it even after finding out the steel is suspect. You are 100% correct as far as the D2 issues are concerned. They are still razor sharp and cut well and for the price are still good deals imo. The one in this video seems to be a good one. I like the thick handle and how the blade disappears inside the handle when closed. I like the blade too. For twenty dollars it seems like a bargain.
@BeezBlades2 жыл бұрын
Good morning! Well said. I really like that input! I'm with you on how the blade disappears. It gives it a nice, clean look. Have an awesome day, my friend!

@@BeezBlades I just remembered that I've got another blade from EF. It's got kind of a cleaver type blade and a really weird handle. I've actually used it a lot for carving and it holds an edge pretty well and it sharpens like a D2 knife. So if it isn't D2 it's something that's pretty close. All of mine I bought in natural G10. I might try dying them in the future. Not that I don't like the looks of natural G10 because I do. I just like customizing my blades sometimes and haven't tried dying G10 yet. You have a great day as well.😊

In certain applications single-side and open-face bearings go in a certain way. It allows for when you're greasing equipment for the grease to flow into multiple bearings. With our knives...I have yet to see a difference in how the bearings face. I've put them in with the open side towards the blade and towards the liners on a knife and haven't' seen a difference in action yet. They always feel the same. I think with these small bearings and how the action operates on a knife, you wouldn't notice any difference regardless of how the bearing faces.
