Yes, David should have won but David still didn't make it to the final tribal council. Only Jay was aware of Adam's situation before the Final Tribal so nothing would've gone differently with David's elimination. I think Adam still would've won without his mother being sick, it just wouldn't have been a clean sweep. Chris's comments about how Adam managed to out-maneuver David, in reality it was really Ken, I think had already swayed people.

Jason's move with stepping down from the challenge really wasn't that dumb in my opinion, at least not in retrospect. If Jason had won that challenge, the same five people probably would have still voted for Ozzy, but since Jason was safe, Ozzy would have been more inclined to use it and the plan to blindside Ozzy would have failed
