After catching up on The Lore, this makes me wonder... Provided Diver-Chan survived that 500kg blast, she'd likely have quite a few injuries. Burn marks on the face, likely lost an arm and/or a leg... Replaced it with mechanical bits, of course... And thinking on that brought me to this storyline of sorts whilst I was in the shower... Pelican-1 likely still goes on missions, and whilst Eagle-1 and Dessy probably hold a bit of a grudge towards him due to him sleeping with Diver-Chan, its not enough to act on it like with Diver-Chan. Diver-Chan likely avoids going out on missions now, preferring to stay cryofrozen out of fear that Eagle-1 might try and finish the job. However, on a mission to pick-up some other divers over a frozen world, Pelican-1 gets shot down by an Anti-Aircraft Battery. With nobody else to do the job, Diver-Chan gets sent in, with Eagle-1 and Dessy to back her up. Setting aside their problems to save the man they all have a thing for, the mission goes by with very few hiccups. Yet, a powerful blizzard kicks up as they arrive at Extraction, freezing over her mechanical limb without her noticing. Peli-Kun begins to board the Rescue Pelican, a Heavy Devastator comes out of the frost. She tries to raise her weapon, but the servos are frozen in place. She can't bring her weapon up. She can do nothing as that cannon unleashes hell, lasers lancing through her body and dropping her into the snow. Before Peli-Kun can turn around to go back to save her, the Rescue Pelican takes off, as there are Rocket Devastators closing in... And so, Diver-Chan bleeds out in snow as white as the hair on her head, perhaps calling in one last 500kg bomb from Eagle-1 to destroy the Devastators now looming over her. Might as well die in a blaze of Democratic Glory, having saved the man she shattered relationships with friends over... At least she won't be able to stand between Eagle-1 and Peli-kun anymore. Maybe they can patch things up somehow, with her gone... Not that they'll get much of a chance to mourn her passing. A new Diver just came out of Cryofreeze to replace her. Democracy waits for nobody, after all...

Eagle is, sort of. The pilot of the CAS aircraft is Eagle 1 and she has a voice. Dessy-chan isn't a thing. I made her up. Think ship-girls like Kantai Collection. She is the personification of the Super Destroyer.
