Thank you! I'm a veteran, myself. Not arty, but I did work with them from time to time, so it was important that I got it as close to reality as the music would allow. In earlier versions of the song, I had a lot more radio chatter, but it ended up extending the song between 1 and 3 minutes, depending on how much I used, so I had to cut it down to the few you heard in the song. Anyway, I'm so glad you appreciated this little detail. 🤍

The funny thing about this song is that it took me longer to make than almost anything else. From a technical perspective, I think it's one of my worst. Creatively (both sound and lyrics), I think there is truly nothing like it, but I thought it wouldn't be well-received. I was very wrong, of course, but it still blows my mind that this is one of my most popular songs. I decided to make Dessy-chan a recurring character.

I make very heavy use of formant-shifting, pitch-shift, and manual pitch-correction in all of my songs, constantly crossfading different combinations with each other. It can give a sort of robotic quality when I want it to, and I usually do.

Yes, but it's more about format-shifting than pitch-shifting. Like, you can pitch-shift your own voice quite a few semitones and it'll sound like your voice, but if you do that with formant shifting, just a couple of semitones can make you sound completely different if. You also change the way you say different words and alter your natural cadence. It's very experimental, at least when I do it for myself, and it sounds worse more often than it sounds better, but when it works, it really works great.
