Eagle Crag Sergeant's Crag and Lining Crag from Stonethwaite (The Lake District)

Eagle Crag is a fell in the Lake District in Cumbria, England, it is situated near the village of Stonethwaite where the valleys of Langstrath and Greenup join. Impressive walls of crag look down upon Stonethwaite, making Eagle Crag the most arresting sight from that settlement.
The fell has not been given an official height by the Ordnance Survey and is given various heights by several other sources ranging between 520 and 525 metres.
Bill Birkett gives the fell a height of 521 metres (1,709 feet) in his Complete Lakeland Fells.
Alfred Wainwright gave the height at 1,650 feet (500 metres) approx in his Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells in 1958, in which he writes:
Eagle Crag is so splendidly situated, so nobly proportioned and of so arresting appearance that it is a far worthier object than the parent fell (High Raise) rising behind.
Eagle Crag is part of the craggy termination of the northern ridge of the higher fell of High Raise and it presents a spectacular sight when viewed from the Stonethwaite valley. It is linked to Sergeant's Crag which is just under a kilometre away to the south by a ridge along which runs a dry stone wall which acts as navigation guide for walkers between the two tops.
As the spur falling north from High Raise gradually narrows, the ground becomes rockier, until a sudden turn toward the east throws up a knuckle of crag. The main face is on the north western flank, cut by a gully, with the lower slabs providing the majority of the rock climbing. Bull crag is also on this flank, a little to the south. From Sergeant's Crag the ridge drops slightly before reaching its terminus at Eagle Crag.
Sergeant's Crag has well defined boundaries with Langstrath to the west and the gentler eastern slopes falling to Greenup Gill. These streams converge beneath Eagle Crag to form Stonethwaite Beck. Blea Rock is a conspicuous boulder at the foot of the Langstrath slopes.
Lining Crag is a summit in the Lake District Central Fells region or range in England.
Lining Crag is 542 metres high.
The top can be identified by the rock. Lining Crag is a child summit of High Raise [High Raise (High White Stones).

Great footage again Andy. You always seem to pick the perfect day for a hike. You'll have to tell Liam from Good Bloke Outdoors how to judge the weather as he always gets caught in a rain storm or clag! Great route. We did that exact walk about 4 years ago on our lads winter walking weekend. The only deviation, we went straight up the snout of Sargents Crag and up through the terraces. Man that was steep! Never thought we'd get to the top. That new path under Long Crag wasn't there also. Amusing coming down Lining Crag as the foot path was covered in ice, and there was a couple in front of us spending more time on their arses than on their feet! Don't know why they didn't follow us on the grassy patches, perhaps they liked being on their backsides most of the time. Love those morraines too. Always stop there for 11s on the way up to High Raise. Great work, keep it up. 💯

Crackin stuff lad, I used that path to go up round onto Ullscarf, its pretty fun, nice views straight back down the valley.. Excellent drone footage, impossible to get a bad shot of eagle crag me thinks.. all the best tek care :)

Hi Andy. As you know I did eagle Crag the other week but it looks even more impressive with the views from the drone. The best footage ive seen on Eagle Crag for sure. My wife hated coming down the way you ascended. If shes not on a decent path she gets grumpy lol. The path going up Lining Crag looks a steep pull. We did consider doing Ullscarf via Lining Crag but after seeing it Thirlmere looks a better option I think. Fabulous video and adventure one again. Cheers Andy, Tracey and Billy
