Most of us don't have to make these challenges. It's enough of a challenge to get enough character to level 70 and have enough artifacts. But that's what makes it different and fun.

you can set this kind of challenge for the abyss as well though? for theater the whole challenge is just getting lucky to get the right characters at the right time and if you dont pull the cards to restore vigor your run is just not possible at all. thats actually not very fun lmao

​​@@Maloooondepends. As an older player I literally don't have anyone below lvl 70 on my main and so tried imaginarium with a challenge of using as many of the non-meta units as possible. Still, can't beat Coppelius now, Cyno having the best results but no off-field pyro, and Yanfei and Gaming not having enough damage without melts 😢. And also, no healers in the final chamber are available, and no shielders, except Beidou and Yanfei 😅

What saved you was returning characters to the pool. Without it, you'd not have enough vigor to finish. Zederyx did a 4-star run with no boons and he had to "burn" 5-star characters in the first two rounds, otherwise it would've been impossible.

@@hungryhikaru If you have zero restrictions, then barring vigor shenanigans you MUST pick draft card minimum 4 times to finish, end of which you will see 15/16 units. Since 3 out of 16 units are unusable 5-stars here, that means even if you pick more draft cards to compensate, you'll still not have enough total units to actually fulfill. So you will alternatively need to pick restore vigor, return depleted units back to draft pool, etc.

Cool challenge, Zederyx did same only without any using any boons/caches so he had to use one of the trial 5 stars in the first two chambers, just never switching to them… ofc he’s also a mega whale so he has every 4 star at c6 which makes a diff for Chevy/Gaming etc that most players don’t have at the moment

I'd say this gamemode is A LOTT easier to clear with 4 stars since it encourages horizontal investment. In the Spiral Abyss, you almost need 5*'s on Floor 12 if you dont want to go insane. (But i know you've already cleared that challenge 😏)

the guide will ALSO usually recommend five star weapons over everything else, so be warned of that! i highly recommend the keqingmains site or asking someone on dc if you have weapon questions

If you want play style guides though, some KZbin videos to get an idea of how to use the characters can help too Unless you have the patience to read through the ability and/or constellation descriptions and keep it in mind while testing the character out

It's decent enough if you intend to just rawdog it and not waste any time into additional research, but good video guides will probably get you more accurate information. Most of the advice in-game is common sense (level your stuff), but there are a lot of advanced concepts that don't always translate, e.g. some support characters don't need as high levels to be effective for the team, don't need their normal attacks, can use 4-star artifacts like Instructor/Exile, prioritize ER above all else for smooth rotations, etc.

@@ayatoo967 Eh, it's fine. Depends on what they consider to be 'built' really and how much they care. People can play for years just for story, exploration, and events, and not care about abyss (which was the only thing worth building characters properly for, and even then you only needed 8 characters.). People can also just be satisfied with their team and not have any need to pull new characters every single patch and build them. This all goes to say, some people dont view genshin accounts like something they need to invest into.
