Editing in this is atrocious . I don't need to see people jogging back into position after a penalty. I want to see what caused the penalty. Appreciate the short turnaround for the highlights. But not enough of the game shown really.

I totally agree. It would have been nice to see the play that led up to the penalties, rather than just the penalties and the jog back.

Any reason why Sarries didn't take a quick drop goal for the final conversion?? I may have missed something, but it seems ridiculous that they didn't at least push for the win in those final moments.

Don’t read to much into this. Good result for Ealing but their strongest side just beat a very weak Sarries side. Plus Ealing have trained longer and have had four games under their belts. They beat the Falcons at home a couple of months back however, the Falcons made something silly like twenty five substitutions. It was used as a training match but Ealing used it as a point to prove. Ealing on the pitch are a very good side but when the Championship begins, they will not come close to Sarries. Plus, they have no support. How they survive on crowds less than five hundred I don’t know. But, they are living the dream. Good luck to them
@michaelcourt45993 жыл бұрын
No hate towards you, or your comment but Sarries won the double just over a year ago. They were the best Prem team and European team so sure they had a weak side out but wasnt their weakest side and the fact that Trailfinders beat them (even if it was a preseason game) is a huge accomplishment and i think, given a couple years, Ealing could hopefully make it to the prem
@jamesyoung43093 жыл бұрын
@@michaelcourt4599 I agree with you. Ealing have been second for a few seasons now. They have a great benefactor and have built a squad to beat all the other championship sides. Other than the one relegated from the premiership. Irish were a class above them, Falcons probably two above. It’s that final hurdle. That is the hardest one. Plus, they have no support. With the Irish and Quinn’s not to far away, they stand little chance of gaining support. I wish them well. Their benefactor deserves to at least be able to see them in the top flight. He is in his 80’s I believe. Good luck to them

@@thebrooksarmy2318 Wrong. Falcons fan actually. One who has played numerous times versus Ealing, good friends have played for Ealing, coached teams who have played against Ealing, refereed Ealing. Worked in Ealing for a number of years, played for Ealing. All a number of years ago. I like to think I know Ealing a bit. Arthur Ellis was one of their best players in those days. I’m a rugby fan and know the return leg against Sarries will be a different result. They are treating the games just like the Falcons did. For training purposes first. It’s not pride it’s coaching necessity. Training and warm up games are needed. That’s what these are for the top sides. For the record I think it’s great how a small team like Ealing can grow from a junior club to one that’s on the brink of the top league in the land. I remember watching them years ago being thumped by 50 points away to Ruislip. They have done brilliant

Wouldn't it be funny if Saracens didn't win the Championship and had to stay down there for another year. They might learn you can't look through the opposition let alone an entire campaign and just assume you'll win.

Not to take the friendly win away from Ealing but to be fair this was the Sarries second string team so you can't read anything into the scoreline. They were testing squad depth. I don't for a second think the Championship is a soft league but I'm sure when the season starts proper it will be a different story and all those taking glee in this will be washing their humble shepherd's pie down with a taste ale.
