The anchor Sameer Saran needs to tone down his exuberance. He doesn’t bring the necessary gravity to the situation. His flippancy is jarring and is in stark contrast with the topic and panelists!! Can we have someone else anchor such important sessions and guests.
@Userandmad3 ай бұрын
I think he is talking like a guest than a journalist 😂😂 My friend, mu experience, stop someone in, intervene i mean they all knows max to max this will go 1hr or say 15 mins more but they get satisfied and we all gets deep dive but i think uk guy is talking like a toddler those questions he asked are shouldn't be asked that way and or say even asked they are not good questions but our eam dealt wirh them politely with clarity and good laugh

That guy is the head of ORF thinktank that's organising this annual event. He made it happen along with the Indian gov. What do you mean that he's not one of them? If the guy bringing 100 plus countries for raisina dialogues is not 'one' of them then who is? Get your azz informed u lil sht
@rahultanwar14053 ай бұрын
Sameer needs to stop interrupting the panelist and tone down a bit. The Raisina Dialogue is a very important and prestigious platform and exhibiting such behaviour will only erode its significance.
@abhilash99183 ай бұрын
You're preaching it to the guy who actually created it?
@rahultanwar14053 ай бұрын
Constructive criticism is the word and not preaching. And yes, the public in general has the right to criticise as long as the feedback is a positive one. To end it, just because he “created it” doesn’t mean it cannot be criticised.
@AayushSoni11962 ай бұрын
There was this other session where an ex-UK official was criticizing Russia and Sameer was VISIBLY unconformable and annoyed. Then he asked an official from Maldives to respond to that, who said something along the lines of "international law must be applied equally to all countries and not selectively" and Sameer literally clapped and cheered like a cheerleader! You can't expect someone to take your conference seriously if you act like this with blatant bias and can't take any criticism. I was second-hand embarrassed! Lost a lot of respect for him. He needs to side-step a bit from moderator role and let other people take over. He can still lead ORF and organize Raisina.

One interesting aspect is how Mr. Bruce Jones highlighted Americans and Australians as former colonials . This would be their narrative going further to be relevant in the Global South while completely hiding their Anglo Five Eyes identity and vested interests. While Samir understands all this, he make the appropriate remarks inappropriately so that it speaks loud like voice of general public and not just the intellectuals. 'So by 2026 USA will be part of the Global South ...' is how he remarked the mindset of Mr.Jones. To be true, the US policy makers are bringing forward that Global South relevance in their own nation and politics by somewhat insistent representation of immigrant and oppressed races during and after Colonial rule of Britain. While the rest of the world perceives this as a decline of US utopia, the think tanks there are molding into narratives keeping intact the Anglo Five Eyes interests.

Interesting conference . Felt that the discussions were very controlled and felt one sided sharing of Jaishankar’s world view . Would have enjoyed a more candid discussion . Also the anchor should ask questions and not interrupt / keep summarising speakers
