I remember when our daughter was about 11, I along with her babysitter, took her and 5 of her friends camping but we only had one tent. Turned out there wasn’t actually room in a 4 person tent for 8 people no matter how small you are, so the girls took the tent and me and the babysitter slept in the open bed of our Ford ranger. Under the trees and stars Woke up to the sound of crows in the morning and bird poop on the sleeping bag Good times!

I always bring a double tall queen air mattress camping. It takes up 2 sq feet and it is sooooo nice with a built in battery power pump ( both ways ) by Coleman. I paid $80 in 2007 for mine and haven’t had to patch it once. I bring a single twin to tie to a tree and lay on in the water too!
