Great video! I just bought a new Best BST-863 but it is faulty. The thermal fuse keeps blowing in the wand. The pump (brushless) doesn't provide any air at all it seems. Any advice?

Figure out what is wrong with the pump. Is it blocked? Does it not spin at all? The heating element needs airflow. No airflow will cause it to overheat and the thermal fuse to trip.

@@eapbg yeah I'm taking it apart to run some voltage injection on the 5v power cable to see if it spins. Any advice on what amperage to use?

@@extrememod_ahu Don't feed power directly into the motor. Being a brushless motor it has to have a controller. Current wise it is hard to say. See what the label on the motor calls for.

@@eapbg it has no label or any markings other than "CT2" on the motherboard pin connector. I tested it and it didn't spin. Thanks for all your help

Okay so I made some progress. When I power on the unit the the fan spins superfast for about a second then goes dead. Same happens when I turn off the unit. Feels like a capacitor failure

I can't adjust the air flow from max on mine... what could be wrong? Everytime I try turning it down it cuts off?

Nice teardown! Much safer to use plastic tools instead of knife) Did you figure out the purpose of that button? :)

iRepair TVChanel Nope, it makes no sense that the button is with the power section.
