Neel Thanks for this interesting demonstration of cleaning your ear with a candle. I tried this once and thought I was going to burn my ear off, this can be very dangerous. Thanks for showing us how bad this method is for removing ear wax. Lorraine Love by the bay ❤️

Lol! I’ve been candling for twenty years. This guy has the candle upside-down. He isn’t using it on a person. It works when done properly and using aluminum foil for safety. Candling has worked for. He didn’t give any valid info. He might sound smart b/c of his accent😂

I saw someone list this as one of their therapies. The fact they had it on their list put me off using them at all because if they think this is ok what other dangerous practices do they find acceptable or practice. I explained how rhis was a psuedo science and dangerous. She wasn't interested in hearing that. If i see the post again I can link this video. Thank you 😊

You have to keep the ash trimmed in order for the warmth to funnel down to the air canal through the opposite end of the candle.

I had ear candling done as a child. My ear got burned. Not bad to the point of injury, but it still hurt. Also still had ear wax. I had irrigation after and thankfully there were no issues from it. But ya ear candles are a waste and can cause injury.

My dad bought some for us to try. He swore it always worked. I tried it and was surprised to see all the wax it pulled out, but I was suspicious. So I bought another, burned it down in an ashtray and there was the same clump of 'earwax' in the end of the candle!! A hoax!

@@22Purplemist Not really, I only half-watched the video and didn't really know what he meant - he used the word twice so it wasn't a mistake. It's ironic that it's a video “debunking pseudoscience” posted by a bloke who, apparently, thinks “extinguish” meant “to light”!
