I don't think there's a rock n roll band today, that can match the intensity and authenticity of the Rival Sons

First time I saw them was back in 2016 when they opened for Sabbath. Had never heard of them before that, but that night they became one of my favorite bands. I can't stand new bands that are out nowadays but they have such a punchy classic rock sound, and then with Jay and his bluesy vocals, I couldn't help but love them, they just rock!

I got here in kinda a strange roundabout way. But that’s my usual thing. I was watching TPR acoustic covers. They actually have a great blues riff to them that I never knew about because, hey the same reason everyone blew them off. The “gossip girl” thing. But her voice is amazing. these guys were recommended after that, and looking up Kaleo because my son is into them. Talk about roundabout, a trio from Iceland 🇮🇸 that plays blues style, and sound like they grew up in Mississippi! Like I said “strange and roundabout” Go figure 🤷♂️

Man, where does that final drop D come from? Scott plays in standard during the whole song, and last note : a low D! 😅 Didn't see that comin'!

@@marcusFUNKEESTAS I guess it was simply added in post. I play it in drop D live, but it's not as convienient. :d
@marcusFUNKEESTAS3 жыл бұрын
@@cyrildia You're right, I tried to play it in drop D and it doesn't sound right.. like the lesser string tension matters.. About the last note, it could also be correct that it was added in post production because it suddenly panned center just on that last note.. You'll hear the fuzz suddenly disappear from the left speaker..

@@murdockreviews so many people can't seem to grasp that when the song doesn't call for shredding, it would just ruin it if you went off on a crazy solo. "Ripping" for the sake of ripping is just noise.
