Glad to hear you've gotten free from the myth that is Mormonism !!

It's very interesting the questions the LDS Church asks you--do you believe in the Book of Mormon, THe Prophet JS etc. They don't ask if you accepts Christ as the savior. That's exactly why I did not join the church. I was very close about 10 years ago, but I found when I read the bible that it was about Jesus, but when I talked to mormons, it was all about their church. That's exactly what convicted me NOT to join their church. They just paid Jesus Christ "lip service".

HerdingDogRescuer actually the first question asked in the temple recommend interview asks that.

Notice when you have questions for the big wigs they eventually say "yes its true, but Joseph is still the P." Technically Earl is a real historian....

Guess Earl didn't realize that the changes he talks about were made to bring the Book back in line with the original printers manuscript. It didn't change doctrine. And if that was the point, then Earl needs to explain why only the few verses in 1 Nephi were changed and not many others. I find it interesting that he never mentions in other videos that he was excumunicated. Hmmm

HerdingDogRescuer, we believe that Evangelicals and other "Christians" are simply paying "lip service" to Christ. They teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of Godliness but deny the power thereof. What does this mean? They reject that God speaks, directs His work, or has an expectation that we obey Him.

I notice you only disparage Christians, you don't answer any of the points Bishop Earl raised as his reasons for leaving the church. It's because you can't, just as Earl, a 65 year member of the church, returned missonary, former Bishop, found out. He had to accept the church for the fraud that it is, Joseph Smith for the false prophet he is, and had to turn his life upside down because he had no other choice in the face of these truths. He wanted to know the real Jesus, and become reconciled to Him, and he does and is. He is so brave and courageous, I have so much admiration for him and his wife.

+OGSpaceCadet Then help me escape "Mormonism" as well. Answer the following questions: 1. Why did God create us? 2. Why did he create Satan? 3. Why did he cease speaking through Prophets, leaving only 1st Century texts to guide us? 4. Why, if God can save all his creations, doesn't he? 5. What happens to non-"Christians" when they die? 6. When are we going to be "resurrected"? 7. What does it mean to be ressurected? 8. Where do we go immediately after death?

Again, typical Mormon behavior, deflect, attack, change subjects. You don't really want me to answer these "Christian" questions, some of which exist in Mormonism as well. You just don't want to answer the questions Earl raised in the video, so you do your best to avoid that while attempting to make me look unknowledgeable and confused. Since you're here, please address the issues that led to a devout Mormon realizing he was in a false religion, issues that plagued him for 5 years before he was kicked out of the church for doubting, all without ever being asked how he felt about Jesus. Ya know, as in "The church of JESUS CHRIST...".

Travis Anderson Deflect, evade, or just flat out lie, that's another favorite. Don't ya get tired of all that dancing and side stepping? It's exhausting, I bet.
