Lyrics: If you come into my room Put a smile on your lips Come to my room Kinda loosen up your hips Come to my room baby We're gonna have us some fun If you come into my room You'll hear that closing door Once you're in my room Feel those clothes slip to the floor Won't you come to my room baby We're gonna have us some fun Cause I'll put you under my spell Charm you out of your shell Let's see how everything fits Then I'll do everything you want and give you the Shivering bits Come to my room Make no plans to get away Once you're in my room You'll want to stay there every day Come to room baby We're gonna have us some fun *Mouth trumpet solo* Cause I'll put you under my spell Charm you out of your shell Let's see how everything fits Then I'll do everything you want and give you the Shivering bits Come to my room Make no plans to get away Once you're in my room You'll want to stay there every day Come to room baby We're gonna have us some fun Yes in my room We're gonna have us some fun.

I saw your spats and then heard your voice in Edinburgh in 1983, I failed my degree, I was never the same afterwards, what with the shivery bits, a discarded husk. I forgive you! I am ready to rekindle the fire. Where are you performing this autumn? I have to see you in time for the winter... sounds of the unbearably reminiscent christmas carol, "Ding Dong Merrily on High" the "and EO EO EO by priest and people singing" just remind me of standing jilted at the altar. I remain, deeply moved, L

I saw Earl live last week in a church with about twenty other people. He’s still hilarious, and an excellent musician. A bit less overtly sexual now too, but the man is seventy seven. Anyway, he drove five hours in the rain in a 30’s Rover to play that gig, which says a lot about the man. If you’re ever in a town when he’s playing make sure you go along and show him he’s appreciated!
