for songs like EAST i feel like we need to step back and really think about what we’re listening to. music is a form of art and a very very strong one at that. when FoC dropped i was struggling with some pretty intense shit and EAST for some reason kind of just made sense to me. the loop is odd and at times annoying but i felt like i understood what was going on. it’s messy and all over the place like how earl feels.

I don’t care what other people think. Earl is definitely one of my favorites. He doesn’t use a normal, frankly kind of generic trap beat, and instead uses very unique instrumentals, all while rapping into the mic in multiple ways. He breaks boundaries and thinks far outside the box. He tries to stand out and be unique, and I’d say he’s definitely succeeded.

Thank you for reviewing this album legitimately and talking about what he's sharing with his lyrics. I honestly couldn't listen to this album because it is way too taxing to listen to which is maybe what he was going for, and maybe it would be better to listen to this album if I were depressed? That's the vibe I'm getting from this, and if that's the case then that's kinda sad because if I can only enjoy listening to it when depressed and not normal that's kind of lame. I sincerely hope that Earl is doing well maybe that's why I get so brushed off from this album because he's not doing better it seems and there's nothing I can do about it. I liked all of his albums before this. SRS was mixed feelings because I absolutely loved all the lyrics but felt like it was missing a little something which is fine because I know that he was actually trying to make SRS sound that way to emphasize something deeper. But this album I just didn't get either of those feelings from it. Not sure what he was thinking when making the EP but I will support him all the way. I know I commented some rude shit about the album, but I guess at the time I heard it was really disappointed haha. If he's gonna do something like this I wish he would at least make it sound like "I don't like shit, I don't go outside" because I absolutely fucking vibed to that album when I heard it. All in all, I know that Earl is a force to be reckoned with and I hope that he finds some sort of peace down the line. Okay this album after listening to it the second time it's actually grown on me.
