The period between "i dont like shit.." and "srs" was wild. Legit one of the most searched shits was "new earl sweatshirt". Even did a track mocking it later on vinces album. Mans couldnt miss during that time and theres still like 12 unreleased tracks that still slap!

Don’t forget 2016 was the year he met Ade hakim, Mike and everyone else in slums. They definitely played a big part into him changing his sound as well. Big love to Earl for providing a platform for those guys☝🏾🤎
@Javi80811 ай бұрын
@PisoCproductionz Earl was already changing his sound when he made IDLSIDGO, compared to Doris. Solace was another example of him experimenting with his sound. People need to stop with this narrative that MIKE and other Slums members made him change his sound. Earl was one of MIKE’s big influences for his sound. Earl has inspired and influenced MIKE more than vice versa. I guarantee you MIKE would tell you the same thing.
@PisoCproductionz11 ай бұрын
@@Javi808 I never said that he changed his sound because of them I said they were a big part. Learn to comprehend before sucking dick my guy reading is essential. There’s plenty of research you can go into on your on if you want to find out on your own time. Y’all keep thinking this rappers are superhero’s or some shit and just come up with shit on their own. Compare solace to some rap songs and it’s apparent where he got the influence from. He even told Ade that he was his favorite producer at the time and was inspiring him to write in different pockets/styles. I’m not say earl completely said yeah I’m taking what their doing and just simply copying it. Im saying it takes a village to build anything up no one does it on their own. Earl during 15-18 was in a very dark place it’s why he took that hiatus he did odd future was basically dead and he was still signed to his label which he didn’t get off until SRS. Him meeting ade, Mike etc. gave him inspiration to be more experimental which was a direction he was going already I agree but the similarities in writing styles the similarities in samples used it’s no coincidence bro and y’all need to stop acting like earl is a god and can’t he influenced from something.
@PisoCproductionz11 ай бұрын
@@Javi808 your the type of person to say MIKE raps like Earl because you didn’t hear MIke first smh. If you learn your history and actually do research instead of being a fanboy you’ll be better off bro. I’m not discrediting him at all earl is a phenomenal writer but how is writing is produced sonically would be completely different if their was know slums ade/mike encounter. This is just facts bro
@Javi80811 ай бұрын
@@PisoCproductionz I’ve actually done my research and listened to all of MIKE’s projects, so I know what I’m talking about. Earl was already going into the dark experimental sound. It is a fact that Earl was a big influence on MIKE’s sound more than vice versa, this is a fact. And don’t call me bro, you don’t know me and I don’t know you. You are wrong.
