I thought this album was a really solid follow up to SRS. You guys didn't touch on the short sub-halfhour runtime of the album too much but I'm a fan of that album pacing. Too many hip hop albums with way too much filler. SICK flows nicely track to track and Earl has been putting together albums that are great listening experiences.

Personally this is my fav earl album. I have to relisten to SRS to be sure. I remember literally liking every other song on that ( shattered dreams, cold summers, dec 24). This was an easier listen imo, for me that also factors into the enjoyment. Im all for deep bars and artistic vision but u also need to enjoy it. To me its like a gkmc vs tpab situation, both are fire and deep but tpab aint as bumpable imo.

Elucid and Billy Woods man, the most pensive, edger allen poe brained rappers i ever heard. Cool review as always. I still think SRS is my favorite project by Earl and might be one of my favorite albums period. Just speaks to me in many different ways and changed my perspective on life a bit, which makes any other project hard to match. Right now I wish Sick! sounded more like Tabula Rasa throughout, but I appreciate Earl trying things that may be out of my comfort zone. My guess is Sick! will grow on me.

"Earl said he's ok with superstardom...projects become more commercial" No. Hip-Hop and the internet are so diverse, that Earl can have a lane and be all right. We have Radiohead and Flying Lotus that's still puttin' out experimental mainstream projects, so I think Earl will be good to go.
@theromakepe43182 жыл бұрын
I prefer if album reviews are shorter, succinct videos of about 30 minutes. I prefer hearing everyone's thoughts in a summarized back and forth convo. I also think it's cooler with the editing and FX and background music. I would rather have live videos for reactions or maybe DEHH doing a look back on albums they reviewed 10 years ago kinda thing. I think those kinds of things fit a long conversation video more. Just my thoughts.
@ModestMediaTube2 жыл бұрын
The first half of this video (26 mins) is the review, the second half is the Superchats. As we continue these lives, the production will go up. Audio will be better, more graphics, and possibly background music. If you notice, we’re shooting these lives on two high quality cameras, which is technically already a step up in production from the edited videos where we only use one camera angle.
@CBiscuit252 жыл бұрын
@@ModestMediaTube I dig this format. Y'all's conversation flows with how the review videos normally go (everyone shares initial thoughts, some back and forth, end with favorite tracks and "if you watching"), I can tell you guys have the rhythm down from how you normally film the reviews.
