I actually don't have a sock ruler! I traced my foot (and other family member's feet) on cereal boxes 😂 Also, I personally am a huge fan of the 9in circular needles and I use DPNs for my heel and toes. I do not like using DPNs for the rest of the sock. There are a lot of people who use the magic loop method for just one sock, though, if you are most comfortable with it!
